The Greatest Royal Rumble Ever

Out of curiosity, I thought I'd start a poll on what people think is the greatest Royal Rumble of all time. Many people say 1992, my personal favourite is 1990, however, there have been a good few strong Rumble matches over the years (1995/96/98/2001/02/04)

So give your opinions people!

EDIT: If anyone can't remember which is which or remember Rumbles by their winners then here's a quick list: 88-Duggan, 89-Studd, 90-Hogan (Eliminating Perfect last), 91-Hogan (Eliminating Earthquake?), 92-Flair, 93-Yokozuna, 94-Hart/Luger, 95-HBK(Eliminating Bulldog), 96-HBK (Eliminating Diesel), 97-Austin (Eliminating Bret Hart), 98-Austin (Eliminating The Rock), 99-McMahon, 2000-The Rock, 01-Austin (Eliminating Kane), 02-HHH, 03-Lesnar and 04-Benoit

This is actually a pretty good poll.

I personally like 2001, but I might be biased a sit was the first I saw, and my favourite wrestler (Kane) did so well in it. 2004 was a great one as well. Same with 1992.

91 was the first that I saw that was cool. I liked 98 mainly because of the backstory. I've got 93 on VHS when Yokozuna wins by throwing out Macho Man.

I have to say 2000 because it was the first royal rumble I saw, however i thought 2004 was excellent, The only Royal Rumbles I've seen are 93,99,00,01,02,03 and 04 so I can't comment on the other rumbles. I personally LOVE royal rumbles, it's my favorite event of the year (along with 'mania of course!)

Also who do you think will win the 2005 Royal Rumble? I know its a long way off, but as things stand who do you think will win it?

I think it will probably be Orton, however it could be Cena,Batista,Kane or posibly The Undertaker as he has never won 1 and this could well be his last Rumble.

In fact I'm gonna start a thread/poll on this...

1992 was the best rumble - Flair was awesome in that match.

BTW CSL you've forgot to mention the Smackdown Royal Rumble this year which Eddie won (I'm assuming 2004 in the poll refers to Benoit's victory)

1. 92- The Cast of Classic Wrestlers The Brains Commentary and Flairs World Title Victory!!!!!!!!
2. 01- Great Wrestlers in it and Kanes domination made this Rumble a Classic
3. 90- 1st showdown of Hogan and Warrior and The Million Dollar Mans performance made this a Classic Rumble
4. 94- Diesel kicked butt in this Rumble and I thought the Double Elimination was classic
5. 97- I was Marking out for a Bret-HBK rematch until Austin screwed Bret I thought Austin was gonna get the belt a year early
6. 95- HBK and Bulldog start at 1 and 2 and end up being the final 2, although most of the wrestlers in this Rumble were mid card or gimmick wrestlers the HBK and Bulldog performance was classic
7. 91- Great RR although pointless for Hogan to win it. featured The Hammers face turn Martel with almost a hour showing and Bushwhacker Lukes 4 Second entry
8. 99- It was a shock for Vince to win especially since Austin was gunning for a 3-Peat
9. 04- Benoit gave a GREAT showing although i feel that Orton should have lasted longer although it was great seeing Foley enter the way he did
10.00- good and entertaining rumble Rikishi emliminating TOO COOL etc. good ending with Rock/Big Show
11. 96- HBK's Comeback last beating diesel I remember Jake the Snake throwing the snake on Lawler LOL
12 02- Maven eliminating Taker who was on a roll was a shock and I marked out for the returning wrestlers, and HHH winning in his first match back
13. 03- Great Rumble especailly the shocker when HBK got thrown out early Tommy Dreamer making the rumble hardcore and Edge and Rey and Jericho having some good moments, only thing was the final 4 Taker Kane Batista and Brock made it a little slow, but ended the right way
14. 98- The rumble was good but I think everyone knew Austin was going to repeat
15. 89- The first rumble on PPV had Big John Studd winning it but the rumble was getting started for better things to come
16. 88 the first rumble ever only had 20 men with only 1 minute between but was a good rumble and better than the NWA Bunkhouse Stampede the same night I thought They was ready to give Hacksaw a push by winning this but i was wrong
17. 93- def the worst slow-paced Yoko comes in late and wins flair gets thrown out early and the ending was horrible and predictible

In all thats how i rank the Rumbles.
