William Regal's future.****RAW SPOILERS****

I'm really begining to wonder what's going to happen to Regal in the future. He was brought back as part of the Eugene angle, but since he's been back, he's getting pretty good crowd reaction. On tonight's Raw, during the ultimate segment, he was great on the mic, and the crowd was uber behind him. In fact, nearly everytime he's on the mic, people love him.

Furthermore, with the exception of his first match back against Kane, his primary opponent has been HHH. THey've crossed each other three major times, and two of them were matches. All three times, Regal has been beating the hell out of HHH. Two times, HHH had to use some sort of cheap tactic to take Regal out (eugene DQign him, and the brass knuckles tonight.)
Regardless, Regal is being made to look like a legitimate threat.

After the Eugene angle dies down though, do you think Vince and the WWE will continue to showcase Regal as they are now? If nothing else, assuming Randy Orton wins the World title, they could stick Regal in the world title picture. However, I have this feeling he may end up jobbing to Tomco and Cade on Heat.

I wish Vince & CO would get smart about Regal. He mas major potential...fans get behind him or hate him, the reaction he draws has ALWAYS been VERY good...but then if they pushed Regal that would take away precious time on Monday Night Hunter, and that would be just plain silly.

I think Regal will stay in the spotlight.

He has good in-ring skills, and is long overdue for a Main Event push.

I see him and HHH going long term in a feud.

Could the main event of Survivor Series be HHH vs. Regal in some sort of gimmick match?

(Actually, I think the RAW Main Event will be an Elimination Chamber featuring Orton, Benoit, Regal, HHH, HBK, Kane)

Regal will not stay face for long. It's unlike him. Even when he was WWE commisioner, he switched to the alliance very quickly. Regal is at his best when he's a heel, and the people love to hate the guy.

He is the DEFINITION of a pompous accent.

I think that Regal could certainly become a great champion. The man can play a face or a hell perfectly. He may be one of the best in the business in terms of ability to play either a heel or face. He has got a great in ring skills. I think Eugene may beat HHH by DQ after a sledgehammer attack and Regal will go into the ring for the save and set up a Regal-HHH feud.

I predict that whenever we see Regal in a match, we will also see brass knucks. HHH was totally out of character with those knucks for a while, and I think the only reason he brought them out is so people would be like "Oh THAT William Regal. I Gorfot!"

I definitely like Regal quite a bit lately. He was funny as the GM for a while, and he wasn't bad with the power of the punch, or when he kissed McMahon's ass. Lately he has quite a bit of an Edge to him as a face, and I would love to see a feud with Hunter. Make Regal come down at Summerslam and cost Trips the match, and then they can go all out after that. Regal is a pretty good wrestler with a unique style, and I would be interested in seeing these two go at it. WWE will probably forget about him though

I've always enjoyed Regal both on the mic and in the ring. I remember when he first debuted (well, not FIRST debuted but whatever) and he had those in ring promos trying to educate the fans or something, I thought those were hilarious.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him turn soon, since it's like him. BUt a HHH/Regal feud would be cool. Maybe heading into the next PPV, which is it, Unforgiven?

He's missed over a year... the least they could do is make it up with a push. He's a definite upper midcarder, and could step into the main event. He's a great character, good worker, and a really nice person, so he deserves it.

Heck, if HHH stays out of the title picture during his feud with Regal, the better! I'm kinda pessimistic tho.

as soon as the Eugene angle gets played out I think you will definitely see Mr. Regal turn heel. He may last a month or two as a face without Eugene but fans just love to hate him. He looks to be in great shape. Just an awesome wrestler with a different style. He has personality and his promo's are amoung the BEST.

Raven and Regal on the mic are untouchable.

In my opinion William Regal is a natural heel much like Kurt Angle. I liked him better when he was trying to get Eugene to quit so Regal could get his job back.

Regal does have all the tools needed to main-event and hopefully he'll have at least 1 World Title run before he retires

Yeah, and become the newest member of Evolution (taking Orton's place).

I agree with the majority of posts, Regal's a main event player, and me being English I would looove to see him main event! I don't mind if Regal main-events as heel or face I'll still be behind him, that's IF he main events.

I love it when people call Hogan lousy. I also love it when people use "The Rock" in the same sentence as anyone else in wrestling history when it comes to mic skills. But all jokes aside...

I think Regal has a decent push in him, but I really doubt him carrying that title at any point. He has the charisma, and he is good in the ring, but there are health issues, and age to consider. Yeah Hogan got title runs in his 40s and stuff, but that was Hulk Hogan, a name bigger than Regal could ever fulfill. Like him or not.

I don't see Regal as any sort of draw, and I think some of the support he's getting is because he is playing the role of Eugene's sympathetic protector, a role that any fan would love to see played out when they see their precious Eugene taken advantage of by the most evil guy on RAW in Triple H.

I'm not saying he can't cut it on his own, but I don't see him getting enough support to be a champ over guys like Benoit, Orton, Triple H, or some of the other potential. I'm surprised that Triple H is working this angle though, it must mean that the WWE has a lot of faith in Eugene and POSSIBLY Regal. So it's hard to say for now.

Anyway, RB you got to quit posting stuff we want to ignore.

You are right that he won't hold the title, but he could still be in the Main Event scene without being in the championship scene. Sort of like Jericho

I likes me them Regals.

I see him as a mid- to upper-carder, main eventer on occassion...but I can't imagine him holding the big belt--at least not as a face. If pushed properly as a heel, I could definitely imagine him replacing HHH as a top heel. I mean, HHH is old hat, and you can definitely tell sometimes that he's struggling to piss the fans off (grasping at straws, so to speak...HE'S PICKING ON A RETARD, folks). Regal's just got that natural aura about him that makes you want to kick him in the balls. I love it. Give him mic time, don't let him job too much...he could be huge.

Regal > JBL.

Snobby Brits just seem to work better than rich Texans.

I didn't call Hogan lousy, the 80s Hogan is acually one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, but once he left the WWE for the first time, you can't convince me that he should have had as many titles runs as he had.

Back to Regal, I like him a lot, and I think he would make a great main eventer right now, but if you ask me, the WWE needs to push guys right now that will be around for the long haul, which Regal won't. I think it'd be a real shame to see a guy who'll likely be gone in a year or two to propel over those who will be around in 10 years.

I wasn't saying he should have, just saying he's on a totally different plane than Regal when it comes to holding titles.
