So This is How I did picking games this year...
Yeah, I'm taking a look at how I picked NFL games on a weekly basis. On this weekly basis, this is how I predicted teams to do, so it's not like I predicted how they would do overall in one guess (In parenthesis is how the team actually finished):
Arizona Cardinals: 2-14 (4-12) Atlanta Falcons: 5-11 (5-11) (HELL YEAH, kinda surprised I only picked them to win 5 games this year, them being one of my teams and all. Well Vick had something to do with that.) BaltimoreRavens: 12-4 (10-6) Buffalo Bills: 7-9 (6-10) Carolina Panthers: 8-8 (11-5) (Ouch) ChicagoBears: 6-10 (7-9) Cincinnati Bengals: 5-11 (8-8) (Ouch Again) Cleveland Browns: 4-12 (5-11) Dallas Cowboys: 6-10 (10-6) (I guess I didn't have too much faith in Dallas, needless to say) Denver Broncos: 8-8 (10-6) (Hmm) Detroit Lions: 4-12 (5-11) Green Bay Packers: 10-6 (10-6) (Phuckin' A!) Houston Texans: 1-15 (5-11) (Yeah, I never put a whole lot of faith in new teams) Indianapolis Colts: 11-5 (12-4) Jacksonville Jaguars: 5-11 (5-11) (As Quagmeyer from Family Guy would say, "OH RIGHT!") Kansas City Chiefs: 14-2 (13-3) Miami Dolphins: 9-7 (10-6) Minnesota Vikings: 8-8 (9-7) New England Patriots: 10-6 (14-2) (I kinda figured to predict a worse record for these guys than they would really have since I'm not fond of the Pats, but they have my grudging respect, at least this year) New Orleans Saints: 10-6 (8-8) (I had them winning their first 4 games, including that game against the Colts. Yeah, I was way too high on these guys in the beginning of the season.) New YorkGiants: 7-9 (4-12) (I called this team the most overrated team in the league, and ironically, I gave them 3 more wins than they really got) New York Jets: 10-6 (6-10) (I kept on waiting for Herm Edwards to work his late-season magic, and it never came this year. I screwed up big time with the New York teams. For a guy who hates the Giants and Jets, I gave them WAY too much credit.) Oakland Raiders: 11-5 (4-12) (Kinda expected since they're my other favorite team. But DAMN, I was REALLY picking with my heart on the Raiders' games.) Philadelphia Eagles: 12-4 (12-4) (Right On) Pittsburgh Steelers: 8-8 (6-10) San Diego Chargers: 2-14 (4-12) (I have no respect for San Diego whatsoever, didn't even respect them when they made the Super Bowl. It cost me two games this season.) San Francisco 49ers: 6-10 (7-9) (I'm surprised I only picked them to win 6 games, hmmm. I'm glad they aren't in the playoffs this year ![]() Seattle Seahawks: 8-8 (10-6) (Yeah, I never have faith in the Seahawks. Ever. Unless they're playing some shitty team. Bad choice on my part.) St. Louis Rams: 14-2 (12-4) (Too much faith in the Rams.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 13-3 (7-9) (Too much faith in the defending champs. I kept on waiting for them to turn it on, and they never did...) TennesseeTitans: 12-4 (12-4) (Yeah, baby) Washington Redskins: 7-9 (5-11) (I picked like their first 6 games of the season correctly, and I fell off from there.) So yeah. Looking at it like that, I'd have to say I f>ucked up. However, picking the individual games, I got like 163 out of 256. That's not too bad, I guess. Good enough for 2nd in the TPWW pick 'em league. Here would be the playoff teams under my predictions: NFC: St. Louis Rams Tampa Bay Buccaneers Philadelphia Eagles New Orleans Saints Green Bay Packers Minnesota Vikings (They'll get the tiebreaker over Seattle and Carolina because I picked them to beat Seattle in Week 14, which they did, and I like the Vikings more than the Panthers). AFC: Kansas City Chiefs Tennessee Titans Oakland Raiders Indianapolis Colts Baltimore Ravens New England Patriots (Pats get the nod over the Jets because of having a better record in reality than New York) Looking at the playoff picture, I got 8 of the 12 playoff teams right. I guess that's decent... Well there it is. Enjoy. I'm sure many of you would have done much better than this... Last edited by Lotus; 12-29-2003 at 03:45 AM. |

I was in a colorful mood, but I'll change it if it is less sore for the eyes.

Yeah, that must have took a lot of work.
I didn't expect the Chiefs to do so damn well, but then again I never actually check up on a team's chances of succeeding. |

Yeah, that's alright. If you have time, unbold either the team name or the results.

Good job, but your numbers don't add up.

I would have added up the wins and losses, but I was hella tired when I made the list (it was past midnight), so that idea didn't even come to me.
