Yeah, if any of you guys are gonna be in Lansing, MI there is a free taping of AWWL Big Time Wrestling this saturday (Aug 14th) at 11:00 am at the ABC 53 studio. Doors open at 10:30 am.

Apparently, Sabu is supposed to be there among others. I'm going, so if you see me, feel free to say hi or something... unless you're Joey Radd.

Yeah, so I was there and it was a decent show, considering it was free. They taped about 3 episodes' worth in matches (I'm assuming 3 because some of these guys wrestled 3 times). The show started around 11:20 am (those lying bastards) and finished around 2:20 pm.

The best best performers were definitely Big Jake, Gutter and the world champ Ricky Stryc-9, all of whom are decent in the ring and have GREAT rapport with the crowd. Best in show goes to Big Jake, not because he's a fantastic worker (think John Heidenreich minus the botches and with Venom tattoos), but because he has the best replies to crowd taunts ever. Stryc-9 would make a great midcarder in the WWE (good physique, above average ability, really easy to gain crowd support, etc).

Worst in show goes to Gorilla Marone, a fat guy with HORRIBLE ring attire, Hogan style balding hair and minimal talent. His matches literally consist of 3 punches, a no sold shoulder block and a Boss Man slam. And even after just that, he's completely exhausted. Sabu's best years are way behind him.

90% of the time, the entire crowd was supporting the heels, especially Truth Martini. I don't know how many times I heard "heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" when the ref had a slow count. So whenever, they were cheering faces, they were way over.

Overall it was a decent show. 6.5/10

Yeah, so discuss or watch it tonight at 7pm and 11pm on ABC if you get ABC 53.
