Slaughter, Col. Mustafa, & Gen. Adnan at 12:38 in a handicap match when Hogan pinned Slaughter with the legdrop after throwing powder in his face; Sid Justice was the guest referee for the bout (Warrior's last WWF appearance until WrestleMania VIII) Summer Slam '92 - London, England - Wembley Stadium - August 29, 1992 Prime Time Wrestling - 9/14/92: Jim Duggan & the Bushwhackers defeated the Mountie & the Nasty Boys at 12:33 when Duggan pinned the Mountie Pay-per-view bouts - televised in the U.S. on 8/31/92: Prime Time Wrestling - 9/21/92: Papa Shango pinned Tito Santana at 6:12 with the shoulderbreaker (not featured on the U.S. telecast) The Legion of Doom (w/ Paul Elloring & Rocco) defeated Ted Dibiase & IRS (w/ Jimmy Hart) when Road Warrior Animal pinned Dibiase with a powerslam after Dibiase collided with IRS on the apron Nailz defeated Virgil via KO with a choke; after the match, Nailz used the Big Bossman's nightstick as a weapon on Virgil Shawn Michaels (w/ Sensational Sherri) fought Rick Martel to a double count-out when both men began fighting over Sherri on the floor; after the match, Martel dumped a pail of water over Sherri's face to revive her from fainting, making her makeup run as a result; prematch stipulations made by Sherri stated that neither man could punch the other in the face WWF Tag Team Champions the Natural Disasters defeated the Beverly Brothers (w/ the Genius) Crush defeated Repo Man via submission with the head vice (not featured on the UK telecast) The Ultimate Warrior defeated WWF World Champion Randy Savage via count-out after Savage attempted to hit a double axe handle off the top on Ric Flair at ringside but instead Flair hit the champion's knee with a chair on the way down; Flair and Mr. Perfect continued to attack Savage's knee after the match until Warrior made the save and carried the champion to the back; Flair and Perfect interfered late in the match, attacking both participants at different times, after convincing the two that the other had paid for Mr. Perfect's managerial services for the bout The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) defeated Kamala (w/ Harvey Wippleman & Kimchee) via disqualification when Kimchee interfered as Kamala was set up for the tombstone; after the match, Kamala hit a splash off the top, only for the Undertaker to sit up and stalk Kamala and his handlers backstage; the Undertaker was driven to the ring on a hearse before the match Tatanka pinned the Bezerker (w/ Mr. Fuji) at 5:03 with the Samoan Drop (not featured on the U.S. telecast) Davey Boy Smith pinned WWF IC Champion Bret Hart to win the title by blocking a sunset flip attempt; after the match, the two along with Diana Hart Smith celebrated in the ring Will continue momentarily. |

Razor Ramon pinned Ted Dibiase with the Razor's Edge after Dibiase hit his head on an unprotected turnbuckle WWF Tag Team Champions Rick & Scott Steiner defeated the Heavenly Bodies (w/ Jim Cornette) when both champions pinned Jimmy Del Ray following the Frankensteiner, after the challengers failed the moonsault double team WWF IC Champion Shawn Michaels (w/ Diesel) defeated Mr. Perfect via count-out at 11:18 when Diesel threw the challenger into the steel ring post after the challenger rolled Michaels back into the ring; after the match, Diesel knocked Perfect out with a punch to the face; as Michaels and Diesel made their way down the aisle after the match, Michaels was confronted by Todd Pettingeil and announced that he was the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time; following the altercation, Perfect jumped Diesel backstage IRS pinned the 1-2-3 Kid with the Write Off clothesline Bret Hart defeated Doink the Clown (sub. for Jerry Lawler) (w/ Jerry Lawler) via submission with the Sharpshooter after an elbow drop off the middle turnbuckle; after the bout, the two continued to brawl Pay-per-view bouts: WWF European Champion D-Lo Brown defeated Val Venis via disqualification at 15:22 when Val knocked down the referee after the ref inadvertantly crotched the challenger on the top rope Kurrgan, Golga, & the Giant Silva (w/ Luna & the Insane Clown Posse) defeated WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Taka Michinoku, Mens Teioh, Sho Funaki, & Dick Togo (w/ Yamaguchi-San) at 10:11 when Kurrgan and Silva hit double chokeslams on the opposition X-Pac (w/ Howard Finkel) pinned Jeff Jarrett at 11:10 in a Hair vs. Hair match after Southern Justice' outside interference backfired, with X-Pac hitting Jarrett with his own guitar for the win; I think this year's Summer Slam has been the weakest since 1995 and 1996. There was a lack of big name talent, no big matches, and little crowd enthusiasm. I only hope that 2005 proves to be a better year. However, they may just hold next year's SS event from the former ECW arena. |
