Idea for new grapple system in wrestling games...

Not really a whole system, but a part of the system... A post grapple... Where you throw your opponent into the ring post on the outside, and they stay there, like hang... Now you can grapple them and have a move done off there...

For example:

The figure four on the post (Where your on the bottom hanging off the person receiving it in the ring [My main reason for this])
F5 into the post
Face Smash into the post
Shoulder into the post
etc...

I think that would be a great addition to new games....

Thats just a though I had...

Hollywood Red does not have that much rep yet (10+)

Don't they have this in SmackDown! ? I know you can whip them into the post and they'll stay there... from there you can only do the face smash or face smash/roll back into ring... so it'd only be a matter of adding the ring post F-5.

Figure-4 would be better done inside in the corner... cuz if you wanted to do it, you'd have to get them out, do the move which would involve rolling them back in and pull their legs out...

Instead it should just be a corner move where your wrestler goes out, trips them, pulls their legs out and such. While they're add it they should add the "slam knee into ring post" attack done so often as well as Steiner's tree-of-woe followed by a choke on the outside.

On the first SmackDown! game, you could whip someone into the turnbuckle, facing out the ring, and you could go outside the ring, grab their legs and pull them into the ringpost

Yeah, but didnt they get rid of that? But that WOULD be a better system for the figure four...

Haven't you ever seen Brock Lesnar do the F5 into the ring post? He basically sets you up for an F5 as he normally would, only when he swings you around you hit your leg against the ring post. A couple of months before Wrestlemania XIX, Brock "broke" Kurt Angle's leg that way.

You should be able to grapple them while they are leaning against the post thingy. Then F5 them into it. Or do it as a special.

Brock did it to Cena and put him out. But that was a huge moment in Cena's career because he started cutting those free style promos on Brock and became the ultra cool John Cena.
