Wrestling History: September 1

Meant to post this last night, but never got a chance to - since I fell asleep Anyhow, here it is. Not too many major events, just a bit
of birthdat wishes, and respects.

Memories...Of September 1:
*Jimmy Snuka wins the NWA United States Title ('79)
*Ric Flair defeats Randy Savage for the WWF Title ('92)
*Nitro: Mongo & Benoit beat Guerrero & Jarrett ('97)
*ECW-TNN: Tajiri & Whipwreck win Tag belts on TV('00)
*Sunday Night Heat: D'Lo Brown defeated Raven ('02)
*RAW: Goldberg,Michaels & Maven beat Evolution ('03)

Also, happy birthday to Bam Bam Bigelow

(In addition, it was also the birthday of the late Rocco Rock - so
everyone keep Ted Petty in mind, as he was a great performer, a
great guy, and gave a whole lot to the business; as did another
guy who passed on Sept. 1st - Dean Malenko's dad, the great
Boris Malenko).
