Taz (82) Tomorrow Rate The Wrestler, Will be The NWA-TNA World Champion, Jeff Jarrett ATTENTION VOTERS: From now on, all exaggerated low votes will be deleted and not counted towards the wrestler's final rating. Theoretically, the only way to get a 1 rating is to be a mute quadriplegic. The only way this event can continue to be successful is if we keep our votes reasonably objective. So let's not go overboard with the "I hate this ugy, he gets 1" anymore, and happy voting. - Funky The Optimists: Dave Youell Impact! Flair is a 9.8 The charisma, the world titles, everything. The only thing is is that he doesn't have the ring skills he had back in the day, now.

9.5 great wrestler back in the day, but I think he should stop wrestling soon and become an announcer (play by play) "and Triple H gets a sleeper hold on Randy Orton, WHOOOOO" (L) .. uh.. anyway I still give him a 9.5 he is staying around and wrestling with the guys while he is way older, he is still entertaining.. but not as much obviously.

I really think Flair is vastly overrated. His matches are so repetitive, he's a horrible brown-noser, and he damn sure shouldn't be wrestling now. He wasn't bad in his prime, but many points off for the above. He does have charisma, and the crowds love him though.

10, I don't care he if he is a dick. As much as he has been overrated, he has put up with some absolute shit angles in WCW, and I think he is featured in more wrestle craps than most anyone else.

8.5, he has had a long and successful career that is still going, despite now not being as great a wrestler that he was back in the days. But at least the guy can still put on a show (at least in a promo sense) and of course don't forget.. WHOOOOO!

10, and my personal pick for greatest wrestler of all time, I personally don't think that ANYBODY (Bret Hart included) could hold a candle to Flair in his prime.

It would have been higher (8.5) because he is a supremely talented ring psychologist and I like his move sets. However, ever see his massive amounts of "self disqualification-but-retain" title defenses when he was NWA champion? What, did he think he was entitled to be champion all the time and never do a job? And now he is wrestling WAY past his prime and is little more than a joke now. He is becoming the jobber of Evolution. His asshole politics irritate me. His book pissed on people who gave just as much to this industry as he did; if not more. It annoys me greatly that he is going to pass Bret Hart. Last edited by CosaNostra; 09-09-2004 at 11:59 AM. |

I'll give him a 8. woulda been higher but you don't blast people in books like that and when all you can do is take back body drops left and right it gets a little boring.
and if we are doin the NWA-TNA champ then we must be doin Jeff Jarrett since he won. man I can't wait to rip on him. |

I don't see why it shouldn't be counted. He may be a 17-time World Champion and he may be one of the best at cutting a promo, but he's a joke that should have retired 10 years ago, at least from active wrestling. His desire to keep wrestling even though he's past his prime is all it takes for me to give me a 1.
Although now I think about it, because he did that 'mental hospital' angle, that 1 can be a 5. |

We're rating the wrestler, not the person. And Flair is one of the best wrestlers ever. This is like, three straight tens.. |

Note, I'm am going to do everything twice here, the White Text will be the current Flair and the Red Text will be the Old Flair..however I'm only doing this for Ring Ability
Ring Ability/Workrate: 7.2 (Sure he is repeatived and a shell of his former self, but however his matches can still be entertaining, I laugh my ass off as his old man flops and his eye pokes out of nowhere) Ring Ability/Workrate: 8.6 (I can see why the man was called a great wrestler back in the eighties, When I bought the Ric Flair Collection, I throught I was going to be bored off my ass watching his older matches, but I was rather suprised. Character/Mic Skills: 9.5 (The Man is a motivater, a con man, a superstar, and a man who could be our next president, okay I won't go that far, but hell, if he ran for President, I would proberly actually watch his debates and stuff, since it would be Entertaining as hell, The Ric Flair Character, is cocky as hell and well...is what wrestling should kinda be....Entertaining Overness: 10 (The Guy is proberly the most common name, this side of Hulk Hogan when you use the word Wrestling....17 Time Champion, He is a legend....despite the fact he is a prick, but however I don't use things said in his book against him) Protental: N/A (I won't count this, since when I made theses subject, I was really having them in mind for younger Wrestlers, not one past there prime and well, no offense Ric, I don't think you have anymore protental..but that's not a bad thing consider all the things you're done for the business Finisher: 7.5 ( I hate Figure 4 Leglocks to be honest with you, I think it's the most overrated Finisher ever made....however for Flair I draw a line, there is something about when he does it, that looks great, I don't know if it's the Mannerism, The Faces? I don't know, but I love Flair's Figure 4 80's - Early 90's Flair: 8.9 Today's Flair: 8.6 Ric Flair Score is 87.5...which is rounded off to 8.8 |
