Sean Waltman to TNA

Sean Waltman Likely Headed To TNA
Posted By Ashish on 09.16.04

Joining Hall and Nash...

Sean Waltman is telling people that he is also going to TNA soon along with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. The three will be reforming the Outsiders. TNA hopes that the three will spark interest in their upcoming Victory Road PPV.

Credit: WrestlingObserver.com

As a fan of wrestling, I would not mind seeing Outsiders and Waltman again together. It seems like this will be short term, which is a good thing for TNA. TNA needs some kind of buzz for the first ppv and what better way to do it.

I don't care if Hall stay in TNA for a long time. I don't even care if XPac stay for a while. Nash on the other hand should never appear in TNA again after the ppv. Nash has become lazy in the last 5 years, even a guy like me who can sit through the bad times can't deal with him no more.

This sounds like a good idea for a little while in TNA they could be good.

Just because it didn't work in one fed doesn't mean it's not going to be successful in another fed. I can't really say it's going to be successful or not but, there's no sense in not trying.

I think this has some good posibilities. Ive been saying it since the first time I saw TNA...one day we will see the Monday Night Wars all over again TNA VS WWE. TNA has been kicking some serious ass and if it wasnt for the long time commitment I have to WWE I would of been going for TNA a long time ago. But since im devoted to WWE the only TNA matches I saw were ones on the computer and then Impact.

But TNA getting these three indiviuals will be a great leap in the good direction for them. It will definently be turning some heads and more fans will be coming there way.

As long as the stable is given a new and appropriate name, I can see this working. Maybe Jeff Jarret could be the leader of this stable. With Jarret in the main event, The Outsiders in the tag division & Waltman in the X-Division, immediately all the squares would be filled by a HUGE heel stable.

I see nothing good coming out of this. During the advent of WCW's demise the top guys on the roster were Jarrett, Nash, Hall, etc. and look what happened to WCW. Throwing Waltman in the mix just makes it worse. Fans are already sick of seeing Jarrett in the main event scene, and they never liked Nash or Waltman. This is another reason why TNA cannot compete with WWE.

Lets see, The Outsiders were huge in the WCW, then they declined. They came to the WWE they sucked... and got worse. Now they show up in TNA. Dunno dudes, dudettes, sounds like a bad plan. The only thing that can make this work is if these guys have a purpose, a desire to show the wrestling business they still have it... Do you really think they do?

This just sounds like antoher waste of money on the part of TNA. Is this a long term thing? No. Will it cause much more people to tune into TNA? I doubt it. Like Your Hero said do you think these guys have the desire to show they still have it? I am not very sure about that.

Its a smart move.

People have to face the fact that right now guys like AJ Styles, AMW and whoever else TNA has wont draw flies. When you have a $30 PPV coming up you need something more than a bunch of never-was. Hall, Nash and Waltman may not have the same drawing power they once had, but unless TNA is going to land Foley, Austin, Hogan or Goldberg, this is their next best option.

Now, if Nash is on top for the next 18 months, and he and Jeff trade the title back and forth, then it will of course be a huge failure. But if they let Nash and co get over, let them do their schtick and ultimately put over some new talent, it'll likely be a good move. Now will all that happen? Doubtful, but in theory its a good move.

Unless a huge name from WWE jumps ship to TNA, TNA will never be a competitor. Guys like Hall and Nash are hasbeens. I sure as hell would not want to pay to watch them. If they want to compete they need deep pockets and good main eventers. They need somebody like Chris Beniot or Jericho to be in the main event scene, and they need Jeff Jarrett to retire. I cannot stand that guy.

Oh, and here's something I need to get off my chest. Is TNA not the dumbest name for a wrestling company? I mean come on, it's something a 15 year old boy would come up with.
