Rate The Wrestler - Day 28 - Andre The Giant
Well once again it times to move forward in the Rate The Wrestler thread as we get closer to day 30, and yesterday Wrestler Curt Henning, who is better known to some of you as Mr Perfect, proved he was nearly that, getting an amazing score and brings up a three way tie for Fourth Place, as Henning tied up there with Chris Jericho and the man who ended his close friend Rick Rude career in Sting, And once again Bret Hart remains at the top of the mountain, will anyone ever be able to challenge him for the number 1 spot? We'll have to wait and see.

Anywayz. Today Wrestler is a Legend a man who left us way to soon, he is proberly the biggest man ever to grace a wrestling ring in Andre The Giant...However sadly, I won't be voting on this topic, since I've only seen 1 Andre match which was against Hogan at Wrestlemania 3.

Also Try to not complain so much and start wars with your comments, This is supposed to be fun, not a shouting match...Anyways Voting begins now and will End 1 Hour after Heat goes off on the East Coast.

This ones going to be pretty hard for me being that I loved Andre, but he wasn't really anything great in the ring and I'm going to have to reflect that in his ratings

While he wasn't anything special by modern standards, he was realisitc wrestler and a loveable guy, so I'm gonna give him a 9.

WOW, good one. I haven't seen Andre at his best, back in the 70's, but I've seen enough to know just how great he was. Not great in a technical sense anything like that, but he really knew how to work the crowds and make his opponents look good.

Wrestling Ability: 8.2 (Again, there's more to Wrestling ability then just going out there and hitting move after move. Andre knew how to make his opponents look like a million bucks. He had GREAT GREAT Psycology.

Mic Skills:8.8 Exactly what Funky said. Loved the broken English though and that laugh.

Crowd Reaction: 9.2

I kind of want him to have a higher rating but when it comes down to it, Andre just wasn't that good. He was like The Big Show, except more immoble, drunken and spoke with a thick accent which was impossible to understand. He had a certain aura about him because he was way ahead of his time... well, his size was. He did a lot for the business as a whole but yeah. Maybe I should add influence as one of my rating things. I'll throw him a 10 for influence.

By no means a scientific master of the mat but he knew how to make his offence look painful and he could sell. Like LC said he had great in ring psychology.
