Did the Net Ruin Vinces Announcement? (Raw Spoiler?)

I know this has been posted over and over again on how the net ruins some stuff for the fans but it never really hit me untill Monday. Vince came out and made his big announcement being that there was gonna be a Taboo Tuesday and it would be interactive with the fans picking the matches and stipulations. Now almost everone on the net read this a month or two ago so this was no surprise. But when he announced this it hit me that if I wouldnt of known about it that I might of gone crazy when it was announced. This would of been something fans have been dreaming about but because I went on the net and found out about it before hand it just wasnt that good anymore. Did any other people feel the same like this?

(I put Raw spoiler in the title because I didnt know if some people havnt seen it yet or not.)

...only jokin, course it was ruined, but on the other hand the WWE shouldnt have released the posters that were brandishing the interactivity aspect so early on

the thing is, a week or two back they had an ad on Raw for Taboo Tuesday, and King was like "WWE's next pay-per-view Taboo Tuesday."

then this week Vince came out with this whole "you have never heard of this before" attitude.

If he wanted to surprise us with an interactive PPV, he shouldn't have released a poster two months in advance advertising an interactive PPV.

The Net didn't ruin anything, it just passed the information along faster than Vince would have liked.

The internet definatly does ruin a lot of things, so I tend to try to stay away from reading dirtsheets.

But as loopydate said, the net didn't ruin this one, company press releases did.

True, thats why I say yes and no. Internet leaks stuff that probably shouldn't be leaked. But WWE also did it with posters, including this months RAW and SmackDown magazine, which were on shelves before Monday night. Both had an ad that said WWE RAW Taboo Tuesday: The first interactive pay-per-view.

There's a big difference between reading what the company puts out, and reading industry insiders. Most of the time, reading company press releases doesn't ruin the shows.

It always amazes me when people come on to a wrestling message board (on the internet) and complain about the internet runing things. If you dont want to have things spoiled/ruined stay away from places like this!

In reality the 'net fans are a small percentage of the wrestling fanbase. I mean how many people post here on any kind of regular basis? Consider that on average the WWE get more than 4 million viewers for RAW. Lets say there are 100 people who post here....figure it out as a percentage and its not that big of a deal. The majority of the fans learned about the concept on Monday night and we'll see 2 weeks after the PPV how much they cared about it.

The other problem with blaming the 'net is that the WWE released this information on one of the investor conferences. Thats put out by the WWE, so if they really wanted it to be a suprise they shouldn't have announced it themselves.
