Rate The Wrestler - Day 37 - Steve Corino
Well, Much like Bret Hart did, Mick Foley showed up Ric Flair on the Rate The Wrestler thread, as Foley, as Flair called, just a stuntman...scored a 88, which puts him 1 spot and 1 point ahead of the Nature Boy, Foley now is tied for 7th Place with Jushin "Thunder" Lyger of New Japan Fame

Today's Wrestler is a great Indy Wrestler who has had runs in TNA and ECW, he is also a former ECW World Champion, Alot of people say he is a God on the Mic and is the closest thing to Old School in Wrestling today, He is The King Of Old School, Steve Corino!!!!

I've only seen like one of his matches, and I can barely remember it, so I cannot rate him.

Loved him in ECW, great on the mic. Even now he pumped out some great matches with Homicide and his Zero One stuff is pretty solid as well.

4**, the guy is totally over rated. Every match he gets bladed so his blonde hair turns pink. While he may wrestle an "old school" style, it is damn boring to watch. His promos and what not aren't that good. Plus he is too indy, and will never make it big.

** I did have him at 5, but people had to be ass-butts, so no he drops a point**

I'm just saying that the reason he gave for grading Corino as low as he did was that he blades in every match so that his blond hair turns pink. Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair do the exact same thing, yet they get 9.6 and 10.

Now, had he said that Corino lacks the longevity and long-term impact on the business as Michaels or Flair, I wouldn't have said anything. Had he said that Corino's solitary NWA and ECW World Title reigns don't compare with the wrestlers at the top of this list, I wouldn't have said anything.

However, his only criticisms were the blading and the "old-school" style, which two of his highest-ranking votes are also guilty of. Thus, I bring it up.

Hold up, Micheals and Flair blade in every ppv, Corino does it in every match ever. Flair and Micheals amuss me, Corino bores me. I can remeber tons of Flair and Micheal's matches, I can only remeber a few Corino, and it isn't because I've never seen Corino. The guy isn't memorable to me. He is boring in the ring, and I'm dropping him to 4 now because everyone is bitching.

I totally buy "Corino bores me," "The guy isn't memorable to me," and "He is boring in the ring" as reasons for a low rating. Thank you for clarifying.
