Halo 2 -Possible Spoilers Inside-

It's almost here...What personally is my most anticipated game of 2004, tied with the Inuyasha game coming out (Inuyasha on november 1st, and Halo 2 on November 8th at Midnight.

).

Bungie has promised so much in this game, and I really hope they deliver. Jason Jones, the Project Leader of Halo, said that Halo 2 = "Everything Halo 1 was and more. Halo 2 is Halo speeding through a hospital zone at 120 MPH, completely on fire, and being chased by ninjas, and the ninjas are on fire too."

For those of you who don't know what the plot to Halo 2 is...*SPOILERS AHEAD*

Master Chief returns in Halo 2 to find that the Covenant have found their way to Earth. He fights to defend it, and we're able to play through (supposedly, not sure of this) the Earth, the Covenant homeworld, the Forerunner planet, and another deserted ring world, just to name a few. The flood return as well. There will be new Covenant types, such as Brutes, Drones, and the omnipotent Prophets.

It's been said that every level on Halo 2 will be at least five times as long as Assault on the Control Room from the first one...

Thoughts, comments?

I've heard the pistol with the scope has been altered to be less powerful. That is all the info I have really.

Yeah, it's been toned down, and you can't snipe with the scope anymore, I don't think.

On the plus side, the needler is getting toned up, which I'm glad for. I always thought that was an awesome weapon. It fires, then explodes if there are enough needle shards in the enemy. It was always weak compared to other weapons, though.

The assault rifle is gone as well..It's replaced with the Battle Rifle. It fires slower, but it has a scope, and is basically a handheld sniper rifle.

The Covenant have some new weapons too...the Covenant Carbine (not sure what this is.), the Beam Rifle (Covenant sniper weapon), and the Plasma Sword that you can grab from Elites.

Yes, but if you do that you can't use granades, and your accuracy lowers a bit.

I know you can jack a vehicle even if there are other enemies in it. Can you imagine throwing someone off the gunner seat on a warthog and the driver not knowing?

I hear you can jack Banshees, too. But I gotta see it to believe it.

I hope you can duel wield a shotgun. My greatest combo is Plasma Rifle/Shotgun, since alien weapons eat up shields fast and human weapons take you out quick.

The Warthog gunner position can be altered for different weapon types (Gun, Rocket, something alien..?).

The game's gonna kick ass, nuff said. Hail to the Master Chief.

How wouldn't the driver know? It goes to a 3rd person view so unless he's not paying attention, he will probably see. But either way, going to be a fun game. Thing about this one is I think I'd rather play the multiplayer then the single.

Not to mention Live capable. Won't be able to pull me from that.

I think it is just going to be like halo 1 but revamped.

Halflife 2 will be better.

I'm gonna laugh when Half-life 2 ends up being a graphics-fest like Doom 3.

Even if it does, the 100 someodd mods that spawn off of it wont. Their is no way that this game can be dogged.

Eh, I never liked Half Life. Dunno why. Counterstrike was decent, but even that didn't cut it as far as I'm concerned.

Only a little over 12 days for this game.

I'm getting to Hastings' Entertainment at 10:30 PM that night, and waiting for it to come out at the Midnight Release Party. Supposedly, there's like 300 pre-orders for it already here, and this is a relatively small town.

And next week, Inuyasha on PS2...What a week this will be. Waiting sucks. >.<

It will be a moment in time. I returned my original Halo, LotR: RotK, and WWE Smackdown!: HCTP to help me pay off my Halo 2 pre-order. On a bad stroke of luck, the DSL I've been XBox Live'n off is out of service right now. I hope it returns by November 9th, when the servers will be tested like no time before it.
