Pat Patterson GONE from WWE!
An interesting series of invents behind the curtains in the WWE.
Reported 10/7: As we’ve reported, Pat Patterson hit the road with WWE a few weeks ago to get a better idea of the product and report it back to Vince McMahon so that they can figure out what changes need to be made to improve the product. Patterson is one of McMahon’s most trusted advisors. Word has it that Pat has reported that the problem with RAW right now is Triple H and he dominates the entire brand. It’ll be interesting to see how Vince will take this advice since Triple H is such a powerful person in WWE right now. Reported 10/8: Yesterday we reported that Pat Patterson has advised Vince McMahon to pull back on Triple H’s push on RAW. Today, we’ve received word that there is now a feeling within the company that this situation could escalate, possibly to the point where Patterson would leave the promotion. Patterson’s general feeling is that Triple H is simply “over pushed” and no one else on the RAW brand has been made into a top guy with the exception of Chris Benoit, who is beginning to be pushed back already. There is also Randy Orton, who had about a one month reign as a world title contender and even became champion, but is seemingly being pushed back right now. Some felt that Triple H had to cut Orton’s feet from under him because he felt there was too much of a buzz about him. You can make the case that this was a coincidence, but the fact is this: while Triple H has been the top guy on RAW, numbers have fallen dramatically. Even when Triple H wasn’t gunning for the championship, he was still the focal point of RAW. So it seems as he shares at least some of the blame for the slump RAW is in right now and Patterson has made that clear to Vince McMahon. Where will things go from here? Only time will tell. Reported 10/12: Pat Patterson officially resigned from the company and his final night will be Taboo Tuesday. He officially gave notice of his resignation on October 5th. Reported 10/12: As noted before Pat Patterson has given his notice to World Wrestling Entertainment and is scheduled to finish up with the company at next week’s pay-per-view, Taboo Tuesday on 10/19. This comes on the heels of Patterson’s report to WWE CEO Vince McMahon explaining the reason for WWE’s recent plunge in ratings and attendance numbers. One of the main factors was due to the over push of Triple H. This led to a strong disagreement between Vince and Pat and eventually led to Patterson’s resignation. It’s no secret that Pat Patterson was considered to be one of the most brilliant minds on the WWE creative team. He was responsible for WWE’s most memorable and most historic television moments. Very interesting turn of events. What does everyone think?

I think it's a shame that only Pat Patterson can realise how much damage HHH is doing to Raw, and the idea that no other wrestler can be pushed successfully to main event status will only hurt the brand further.

But Patterson gave his notice apparently before he told Vince of HHH's over pushing?

I still think it sucks that now the only one that was willin to speak out is the one that is leavin while all the "yes sir" guys remain.
Someone gets the balls to speak up and he gets it all shoved back at him. Just ain't right. |

How that that complete idiot mcmahon not see triple h is overpushed? Hes the only guy thats CONSTANTLY in the title scene, if he doesn't have it hes bitching about wanting it. Also if he doesn't have it he still gets all the air time to bitch and cry, any retard can figure this out, get a non wwe fan to watch raw for 2 weeks and they'd probably have this figured out for fuck sake.

Well this is what happens when you cross The Game. Patterson has been with the company for so long, and it is quite a shock that Vince would not hear him out. This could have been a major turning point in the WWE, but Vince chose to ignore Patterson instead. This will scare further people from speaking out against overpushing HHH, and will keep Raw from developing new stars

Wait, wasn't this reported in another thread?
Anyway, it does suck. Hey, whatever happened to Gerald Brisco? |

Well, Pat's the first. There will be more complainin' about HHH's overpush in the future. Just let Vince lose more WWE officials or superstars because of HHH taking over, and maybe that will finally grab Vince's attention. No it won't. All Vince cares about is TV/PPV ratings anyhow.

I don't see why this would scare people from speaking up to Vince if they saw a problem. It seems to me as if Pat Patterson left the company under his own power (hence the term "resignation"). It wasn't like he was fired. I think if Patterson still wanted his job, he would still have it.
I mean, I suppose there isn't much substance behind this post, but it just doesn't seem like Patterson leaving is any fault of Vince McMahon's. Triple H getting over-pushed? Sure, I'll put the brunt of that in his lap from what I think I know, but again, it seems as if Patterson left under his own power. Besides, Vince DOES run...pretty much everything. |

Well, what some people might be saying is "resigned" was a nice way of saying "was 'ASKED' to leave"

If changes were going to be made, wouldn't you think the person who initiated the change would've stuck around?
I think this is a damn shame. Patterson is/was one of the best bookers in the industry, and can visualize a match and its finish beautifully. Who knows, maybe he still has ties with Vince Russo and can help NWA-TNA pick things up storyline wise. |

When I first read the title I honestly thought this was a joke. I laughed pretty hard at it then I actually read the thread. Is this for real??? Fucking christ!
Someone finally has the oranges to stand up and tell McMahon the truth and he get railed for it. It's absolutely horrible. Ignorant, senile son of a bitch..... |

At least now the rookie wrestlers won't have to have sex with Pat to get their big break.

That sucks for him having to leave for speaking his mind. Seriously, that's completely retarded.
