Rate The Wrestler - Day 73 - Edge
Well, Yesterday, RTW, The Dymanite Kid, actually scored higher then his partner, The British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith who had a 84, and scored Higher then the man who looked up to him, in Chris Benoit (88), And ended up trying Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat with a 90, but came up one point short of getting into the Top 10.

Today's Wrestler is Edge, the man who is the brother of Christian (Storylines...They were friends from school however) Edge as must of us know, just recently turned heel. Now like Matt has done to Jeff....Can Edge do to Christian, or will Captain Charisma, finally be called the greatest member of E & C?

I've watched him since his debut. He used to be so cool as the enigma. The unknown. The mysterious one. Then he started talkin and smilin every second while in The Brood and in The ministry of Darkness and stuff and it was irritating. He then continued to do somethin and was a real good tag team partner with Christian. One of the greateest tag teams in modern times in E & C was born.

Then lately seen Edge as injury prone. One injury after another. And now he is back tryin to be a heel and he is just as boring as they come. So I give him a 6.

Even from me, the biggest anti-Edgeward mark, I will give him a 7.5. He has talent, he has something, and when motivated, can pull off some great moments. Otherwise, he comes off stale and in large doses, is so unbearable especially when stale.

That, and he is still missing something, which is what is keeping him from being a better wrestler and receiving higher score... maybe charisma.. Captain Charisma??

I just watch that Rey Mysterio-Edge tag team on Smackdown again, and I was impressed. Edge didn't have to cut promos --- he was genuinely exciting with his ringwork. Sadly the injuries dragged him down lately, and frankly that move to Raw didn't help. I mean, why did they do that? He was over in Smackdown, and he probably still would be today.

And we can't forget Edge & Christian. Their promos and their in-ring styles were genuinely entertaining.

Ability: 8 - has great matches (alot of the time)
Charisma/mic skill: 9
Overness: 6
Finisher: 2 - hate the spear!, love the gore, but hate the spear (love the drake)
Entrance: 7.5 - havent seen the new entrance. his old 1 was cool, when there were a lot of edge fans. not so good lately
Look: 7 - when he first returned he was huge, now, he's just kinda normal looking. and thats not a good look for the spear

6.5, but i'll boost it to a 7, cos i feel the overness rating is unfair7

9 Nowadays I would give him a 6, but the RTW is meant to be judged by their whole career. He is a good wrestler, and has potential, its just his dying character thats stopping people liking him. But once he gets a good character again, he'll be liked again .
