I'm getting tired of how finishers are pulled off anymore.

Back in the day, certain finishers (not all, because it would be impossible) could be pulled out of no where and had a huge pop to them. Now all those finishers seem be called for by the wrestler.

Take for instance, the RKO. We all know the Diamond cutter could be pulled from anywhere with DDP. But now Orton doesn't do it, he waits for his oppenet to stumble around in a daze, turn around, all the while Orton is on his knee signalling the move, then RKO. No question about it.

But that isn't the only one, Sweet Chin Music, the Gore/Spear, Chokeslam, and so on.

I don't know, I have always liked that element of suprise, when you never know when it will be hit. It might just be me.

I think Rhyno & Shawn Michaels could use the element of surprise in their finishers. JR reminds us that all Shawn Michaels needs for the Sweet Chin Music is 1 second.

I think Orton ma pull out a surprise RKO occasionally, and I think Benjamin could hit the "Exploder Jackhammer" thing he does (where he floats over into a powerslam) out of nowhere.

Michaels doesn't always "tune up the band" and Orton does pull the RKO out of nowhere sometimes. The set up is just designed to generate pops, I would imagine. Doesn't really bother me either way.

Well, I do think we could use a few more "out of nowhere" finishes these days. Too much makes it old, of course, but right now, it is a bit boring.

yeah, basically what Thrilla said. It's just to generate pops really. Like Austin would set the stunner up sometimes, but other times he would he it out of nowhere.

diamondcutter does not have that much rep yet (10+)
In the case of teh RKO, the lack of surprise isn't the only problem with it. Orton leaping in the air and dropping the guy with one hand instead of two hardly looks devastating. When Page nailed someone with the Diamond Cutter, not only would you never see it coming 95% of the time, but he'd drop the guy with more force, and with two hands.
