Tazz *Smackdown Spoilers***
Okay, first and foremost, this isn't one of those "I WANT TAZZ BACK, TAZZ IS THE MAN" threads. I love Tazz, but my hopes of seeing him come back were shattered long ago... Which brings me to Smackdown.
First, remember when Heidenreich kidnapped Cole? Tazz went after them, but was told by Angle to go back or he'd lose his job (I think that's how it went.) We've seen Tazz attack Heyman at least once in the past. Last Thursday, Tazz was going into the ring after Heyman and Heidenreich. The fans were behind Tazz... Pound for pound, Tazz if over well for someone who hasn't wrestled in ages.. He goes up the steps, and then the Undertaker comes out... Why?? Heidenreich could have beat up Tazz, which would have made Heidenreich look threatening. It would have made him look more lethal, because honestly, who has he beaten down? Instead, they tease the confrontation, and then stop it. It seems silly to me that the WWE even had Tazz start to go into the ring if nothing was going to happen. So why? I'm probably crazy, but it seems like WWE could build Tazz back up as a "I'm not going to take your shit" guy. He didn't back down, and he didn't get beat down... I see no other reason for doing what they did. Opinions? |

It sounds like it could happen, and I was wondering the same thing. I personally am all for it, he should wrestle for his last few years where he can still wrestle a good match, after that return to color commentating.
Or you could have Tazz just wrestle every now and again. Kinda like Lawler back in 2003. But I'd rather go with the first option ![]() |

I think what they did on smackdown in that part of it was a waste of time personally. The crowd didnt' seem to pleased about it either, sure they marked out when Taker came out, but then what? Nothing happens. It's like all that for nothing. Good way to waste 15 minutes of smackdown though.

Because it leaves more of an option to bring him back at some point if they need / want to, and it leaves him with his cred; while not taking anything at all away from Heidenreich.
It also left 'Taker's entrance 'unexpected' in a sense. Basically, it's a teaser. |

When it happened, I started marking out, and thinking he was going to kick some ass. First time I marked out for SmackDown! in a while.
I know Tazz has said (and/or other sources have said) that his neck bothers him and if he were to get back into the ring, he'd need a few surgeries. Maybe they are building something up for Tazz with Heidenreich, when Taker goes on to his next feud, which, if WWE were smart, would be right after, or a little after Survivor Series. Maybe we could have one last Tazz match at WrestleMania. Because the way they have been building this up, they really should go somewhere with it. |

Knowing wwe though they will most likely forget about it and move on.

Tazz can beat Heidenreich, and can transfer the role of "wrestler who lost to an announcer" to Heidenreich.

also, in honor of the Rise and Fall of ECW coming out on tuesday, I'd love for on Smackdown, since most of the ECW alums are Smackdown guys, just a little tribute or acknowledgement. Maybe even on RAW Rhyno can come out with the ECW Title.

it would be cool if he got involved. maybe during the taker match, heidenreich could call tazz a pussy and then tazz lock the tazzmission in on him. one hell of a way to kill off heidenreich but hey, taker will bury him in 10 mins anyway so what does it matter.

I can't help but have flashbacks to when Tazz locked in a Tazzmission while he was a SmackDown! commentator. I think a tag team was about to beat up Spanky, so Tazz, who was already in the ring interviewing him, locked in the Tazzmission. I marked out big time.
Also, Corkscrewed, you just made me mark out. You posted at 3:16 am. |

I'm such a freaking tazz mark, But when tazz got up and I saw his enormous gut, I knew it wasn't going to end well. I'd love to see taz come
back, but not not tazz. that just won't happen though. His necks really messed up, hes stated that he wouldn't be able to perform half the moves he used to due to wwe's lower risk style, and besides, He doesn't have the "butterflies in his stomach" before his matches. ![]() |
