Top 10 technical wrestlers

OK, do any wrestlers, from any fed.

I say:
1. Chris Benoit - he's just brilliant, theres no two ways about it. He is just the best pure wrestler alive today.
2. Kurt Angle - Did great at survivor series. He has been the outstanding wrestler in the WWE for three years, yet has not got the reputation he deserves. is slowly loosing his style i suppose, but is still excellent.
3. Eddie Guerrero - has had some great matches in the past year. I didnt recognise his talent for a while, mainly cos he was the whipping boy/comic relief of the Radicalz.
4. Charlie Haas - Awesome wrestler. Probably just behind Eddie atm, but SHOULD be the next Chris benoit!
5. Chavo Guerrero - personally, I see him as being one of the most underated wrestlers in the WWE.
6. William Regal - I love his style. i suppose its technical, its certainly slightly different. However, i feel you always get at least a *** match with Regal.
7. Chris Jericho - not exactly "tradtional" technical, because he's not very meticulous. However, he is still somewhat of a technical wrestler.
8. HHH - still puts on some great technical displays
9. Rob Conway - great talent!
10. Christian - I don't really like his wrestling style, more his charisma and way he can entertain the crowd. However, he does still have some good technical wrestling ability.

Unlukcy to miss out:
Eugene, Matt Hardy, Edge

Top 5 Favourite wrestlers:
1. Carlito Cool
2. Chris Benoit
3. Randy Orton
4. Christian
5. Kurt Angle

PerfectOne has done some stupid things
1) Ric Flair - Was a technical wrestler before being a "technical" wrestler was cool.

2) Kanyon - One of the most innovative wrestlers I have ever seen. Some of the moves he pulled out in his matches were incredible. And the guy deserves serious credit -- he managed to give good matches to GLACIER, of all people. He has good in-ring charisma and good skill.

3) Dean Malenko - It you look up "technical wrestler" in the dictionary, Dean's picture is there. The guy was called the "Man of 1000 holds" because he was able to string together almost any move in a convincing way, and he was THE master of submission moves.

4) Jeff Jarrett - Despite whether you like him or think he's the "next HHH," everyone should admit that he is a solid technical wrestler. In every promotion he's been in -- NWA, WCW, WWE, and NWA:TNA to name a few -- he's been a solid worker with good in-ring skills. He's also one of the best ring-workers out there in terms of story-telling and in-ring charisma. This man can carry a match with anyone from Chris Benoit to Mongo McMihcaels (shudders).

5) Chris Jericho - Jericho was an interesting character. He started his career as a cruiserweight, in the WCW feuding with the likes of Rey Mysterio Jr., Eddie Guerrero, Psychosis, Jushin Thunder Liger, and Dean Malenko. He moved on to WWE after being mismanaged in WCW, and in WWE he would become a huge star. He has a decent repetoire of moves and, at least previously, strings together moves in a convincing way. He also knows something of pacing and story-telling in the ring.

6) Bret Hart - Above, I said that Ric Flair was the greatest technical wrestler before being a technical wrestler was cool. Well, Bret Hart MADE technical wrestling cool. While no one will ever convince me that he really was the best out there in terms of stringing moves together into believable sequence, countering and counter-countering moves, and making his opponent tap with believable submission holds...he was no slouch, and deserves mention for taking what skills he did have, refining them, and building one of the most incredible careers in wrestling out of using them.

7) Chris Benoit - Benoit is an interesting guy. He's a short, stocky athlete that decided early on in WCW to stop playing with the cruiserweights (after "crippling" Rey Mysterio Jr. by hurting his knee) and start playing with the big boys. He really was like a Rabid Wolverine, never letting up on his opponents and at one point having so many "finishers" that it was ridiculous. This was a guy who you NEVER knew when he would win -- he didn't always hit the finisher for the win, so the entire match was suspense. Would he REALLY get a 3 off a superplex? It was certainly possible. Would he just hit a huge German suplex and bridge for a win? He's done it before. He was unpredictable, and that gives him points in my book. The latest WWE Benoit is utter crap compared to the old Benoit. His greatest series of matches, in my opinion, were the Best of Seven he wrestled against Booker T for the WCW Television title.

8) Elix Skipper - Maybe I'm the only one, but I think this guy is an incredible wrestler. He has a vast repetoire of traditional moves along with several high-flying variations. He impressed me in WCW, and does so even more in NWA:TNA, but perhaps I'm the only one....

9) Taz - Okay, I'm a Taz mark. He probably shouldn't be up here, but he was a suplex artist...sort of. He did pull off a variety of suplexes during his ECW career - T-bones, Aztecans, Cradles, Captures, Northern Lights, etc. Plus, I'm a "FTW" mark. Sue me.

10) Jaqueline/Miss Texas - This woman had more wrestling ability in her pinky then most male wrestlers have in their entire bodies. She had power, wasn't afraid to go to the top rope, and had a repetoire of suplexes, souffles, and power moves that left little to be desired. She also was not afraid to mix it up with men. In USWA, she feuded with Brian Christopher (Lawler) for the USWA World Title. In WCW, she beat Disco Inferno, repeatedly, using a variety of scoop slams and suplexes, including a superplex once. In WWE...she was feuded with Sable (shudders) and mismanaged, eventually being fired recently.

Arn Anderson was better than Flair was. Bret was the most effecient of them all though..he isnt called the excellence of execution for nothing. This man could slap on a hold and make it look very realistic, and he performed everything he ever did in the ring with realism..he defined the artform of wrestling. Nobody was more realistic in the ring, whether you wanna count strikes, or holds or anything..he was a believable guy who could find new ways to slap on a submission from any prone position..the many ways he applied the sharpshooter alone says enough. Owen was also astounding in the ring. He also added the high flying element, but that aint about technique.
Today in the WWE Benoit is tops no doubt. Especially if he were able to perform a match the way he'd like to..not scripted totally the way the wwe wants him to do so.
Vince even cemented the fact though that Bret was the greatest stroryteller in the ring he has ever seen.
Flair was a comedian with a few nice holds.

10. This one is hard...I feel Regal deserves a spot here, but so does Chris Candito, but no one else named him, so Candito. Plus Regal always makes that stupid face.

9. Tajiri - today he sucks, but in ECW he was crazy good.

8. Lance Storm - 1 of five trained by Stu Hart to make it on the list. He could hit that rolling single leg crab from anywhere. it was awesome.

7. Beniot - Why is he so far down the list, because I hate him. That and recently he seems to have stolen Taz's gimmick, but it might just be me.

6. Jericho - When Jericho really wants to go, he puts on fantastic matches. And can string combos with the best of them, plus he is one of the most charismatic techincal wrestler ever.

5. Bret Hart - Obviously

4. Owen Hart - I always liked him more than his stupid stinky brother. And he was a techincal high flyer, Bret never left the ground.

3. Ken Shamrock - Here is a man that just ruled the ring while he was in it. Everything he did had that snap, had that look like it hurt.

2. Kurt Angle - God.

1. Taz - for my money, there is no one greater than Taz. He was the one of first bad asses to be a technical wrestler, and legit too. His suplexes were deadly. His submissions were awesome. And everything thing he did was so believable and brash. Most of the time people think techincal is light and fluffy and a lot of rolling and pushing, but Taz did it with snap and put it over the top.

I would of mentioned them without a doubt, but I was just doing it, as in Current Wrestlers...which would be a good reason to keep them out of my list

My list is only for active wrestlers.

If I did an all time list, I would need like a hour because there are several technical marvels through wrestling's history.

She was one of the top women wrestlers in terms of technical ability, which is why she was included. Alternatively, I could have put in someone like Madusa or Molly Holly, or some Japanese wrestlers no one has ever heard of.
