1000 posts

Alas, my 1000th post… No, I haven’t always been the most consistent poster, and I’m more than sure most of my posts are just little side notes in regards to what other people have said. I’d like to thank the people who make the Raw and SmackDown! captions. If it wasn’t for them I would of never gotten involved in this crazy message board. Anyways, I think I shall take this time to ramble on and on…

I think that Mercy Drive analyzed my last relationship when they wrote part of “Burn In My Light.”
*I gave and you take
And I waited for you.
But I made a mistake*

Yeah, they’re right on the money there.
*It’s clear that your fear
Is so near because
I see the look on your face*

She fears being alone. It’s as if she needs someone there to vindicate her self worth.
*You tried to hold me under
I held my breath
Alone, and now you wonder
What I possess*

Yeah, she held be back, but I’m still standing. Now she’s alone, and I’m more confident than ever.

Okay, maybe I’m a touch on the pathetic side, and damn near everyone can say something to that effect with relating to the song, but hey, damn it, this is my 1000th post, not yours, so don’t hate :-P

An idea- I would like to see Michael P.S. Hayes return to television. Let him be a manager. Give him some blue chipper, claim the rookie is from Atlanta, use “Badstreet USA” for his theme music, and promote him as a face bad-ass Ala Steve Austin. If he gets tepid reactions, then have him feud with a midcard face, and cut promos saying “This place sucks!”

Last month I was listening to my Sirius Satellite Radio and I found a wrestling talk show. They were talking about who, if anyone, could replace Jim Ross. Why didn’t anyone say Joey Styles? This man would make you believe that someone is literally getting broken in half without saying the word “literally.” Of course, his catch phrase will also be cool to hear.

Can’t wait for my copy of “The Rise And Fall Of ECW” to get here… I pre-ordered SmackDown VS Raw, and I called in sick the day that it came. Of course they had no idea that I lied to them in the name of videogames.

Today I realized how much wrestling affects my life. I was thinking of doing a heel turn and gimmick change. Right now I’m a fun babyface. A little off kilter (I think that’ the right phrase), always thinking of others before me… Well I think I’d have more fun if I turned into a cocky heel. Just think of myself, give an attitude to my co-workers, align myself with other people who hate that place, and then I realized that I’d get fired for that.

The other day my little sister found out that wrestling isn’t real. Alas, it would be cool to be that naive again.
I’ve talked to other people my age (early 20’s) about pro wrestling. They all liked it “back in the day.” Look at Hogan VS The Warrior, WMVI. That match sucked. It was basic move with the no sell to the barley wins it finisher. What made that match so good? Two factors. Hype, which we still have today, and believability. When I thought it was real, that the title meant you’re the best, not that you’re fucking the Vince’s daughter, it was a lot easier to mark out. You cheered because you swore that these two men wanted to beat the hell out of each other. Booed The Undertaker when he locked The Ultimate Warrior in an air tight casket. You cheered for him when he told Jake Roberts whose side he was on because he was doing what was right. You Booed Nailz because he was a convict that wanted to hurt The Big Bossman. You booed HBK when he threw Marty through the barber shop window (well, maybe you did, I didn’t. He was the 2nd heel I liked). When you believed you got more emotional. In closing, I don’t want to hear someone say “It was better back when I didn’t know any better.”

Well, tomorrow is the day before Thanksgiving. Don’t go shopping because it’s going to be a mad house, and the people who work at the supermarkets are going to insult you behind your backs. How do I know this? I work at a supermarket, where you don’t need a club card to save.

I was planning on having a drink before I go to bed, but now, a toast… To my next 1000 posts!

1000 post threads aren't so bad. Just a way of giving props to the fellow poster and whatnot. Just don't have your threads end up like one of mine's... ugh..

Anyways, congrats to you, Mr. Always. And thank you for noticing my caps before anyone else does. Here's to a 1000 more.
