- A WWE employee has suggested that Bob Holly may have had the apparent or implied permission from a member of the WWE management team to do what he did to Rene Dupree at the house show this past weekend. The wrestler says that "(Holly) has his job still because he does what's asked of him by management... He's controversial, but he's also loyal. I have no problem with him myself"

According to PWTorch.com, the recently reported incident in which Bob Holly stiffed Rene Dupree with a chairshot and several legitimate punches, did indeed stem from a traffic incident. After hearing that Dupree did not have a ride, Holly decided to do Rene a favor and offer the young superstar his rental car.

While driving, however, Dupree received a ticket and ultimately discarded it. This caused a problem for Holly - not only with law enforcement, but with his insurance company. Upon confrontation, Dupree shrugged it off.

Dupree is not liked backstage and is believed to frequently "rat out" wrestlers who break rules. Many blame him for Billy Gunn's recent firing; Gunn was a close friend of Holly. Thus, even though many do not believe "stiffing" was the best option, few shed tears over what happened.

Billy Gunn is gone because he got caught passed out on drugs in an airport. How's that anything to do with Dupree? If anyone "authorised" Dupree's beat down then they should be fired immediately and forced to explain themselves to the place. This is a freaking public company. If Wallstreet knew about this, something would be done. Fortunately for Vince McMahon, Wallstreet considers his company a joke.

So because Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit (I think) went to see Vince McMahon about Eddie's drug issues, they're good people, but when Rene Dupree does it he's a "rat"?

It doesn't really matter anyway, Rene does his job, has talent and works his ass off. Hardcore Holly may do some of those things, but the different thing between Hardcore and Rene is Hardcore is a bully.

p.s. I'm not only laughing at the "reasoning" behind Dupree's beating. I'm laughing at how FUCKING STUPID the WWE management are.

I guess that explains a lot of their booking.

I'm not saying what Dupree did is right (because it its true, then he's a shit head as well), but Dupree should sue the WWE BIG TIME.

If this statement is true, I would have been very mad also. If one of my friends was driving my car and got a ticket, and then threw it away which ultimately led to my insurance going up and bs that I didnt know about because he never told me.......I would fucking end their life.

Maybe I am thinking differently on this he "shrugged it off" line. If he was like "Oh well fuck Holly, he is an asshole" then yea, kick the shit out of him, but if it was like he was shrugging it off cause it is a measly ticket that he can easily pay for, then I would understand.

I agree with you here. It seems Holly was being friendly and allowing Rene to use his car. But if he got a ticket and didn't bother to tell him until it was too late, I would be pissed too. So, I don't see any explanation to this unless Rene just forgot about the ticket, or was already pissed at Holly, while Holly wasn't pissed at him.

But as someone said before, maybe the best Tough Enough challenge is 2 minutes with Holly.

wow wwe is really a joke backstage at the moment. on one show one guy holds everyone down and on the other show, people can get away with this. if dupree did do that then fine him or make him job to an unknown or something. this is just stupid and doesn't help anyone. it also proves that holly is going to get sacked any time soon as he's well in there. testostorone fueled junky. nice to this settled with words rather than violence.

The WWE is trying to get the word out that Hardcore Holly was fined $10,000 for his actions against Rene Dupree. Many inside sources aren't buying that at all. The only obvious punishment was Hardcore Holly jobbing in a dark match at Tuesday's SmackDown tapings.

The impression that some of the wrestlers are getting is that if the WWE wanted to lay down the law and have the message sent across the WWE locker room. They could have done it by taking serious actions against Holly, but so far, they failed to do so. Of course that's if the $10,000 fine turns out to be false as we're speculating.

Holly is a piece of shit, why did Vince even give him that title shot at Royal Rumble? When Lesnar beat him. The crowd wasnt even remotely into the match. Hes a bully that thinks hes the shit, but hes nothing. no entertainment value, no real skill no nothing. He needs to be fired immediately

I think Bob Holly should have done what any other person would do in that siuation, knock the fucker down, give him a quick kidney punch, tell him to pay the ticket, and move on. The difference is that Holly SHOULD NOT have done it while on the job, that's just plain stupid. Handle it however you want, just not while getting paid.

If Holly beat him down anyway but in a match, I'd say most people wouldn't have had a problem with him. However, he did do it in a ring. He did it in a position where you are trained to protect your opponents and that level of trust went out of the window. There is a level of professionalism and he went WAY below it. The man is scum and should have immediately been fired and charged by the police.

Let's not even get into the discussion about how the gutless bully prick didn't even have the balls to go face to face with him and chose to totally blindside him. Coward.

Well Dupree is MUCH bigger than Holly, so it makes sense he attacks the Phenom from behind. I don't think Holly should have done anything at all. Take the ticket up with Dupree using words and reason, or get Dupree to pay all the fines and fees LEGALLY.

Holly deserves to be fined more than $10,000, and I think Dupree should take legal action against Holly.

Bret left for WCW.

Holly was probably offered a deal from WCW, but declined it. To my knowledge, Hart had very little loyalty to the WWE compared to guys like Bradshaw, The Undertaker, Billy Gunn, Hardcore Holly & Val Venis.

Bret Hart was told by Vince McMahon he couldn't afford to pay him and he was breeching his deal and told him he should go to WCW and get his big deal there. Bret STILL didn't want to go. Vince forced him out. How is that not loyality?

Val Venis's contract didn't expire until WCW was dead. He was offered a WCW contract before he went to the WWF though. Eric Bischoff wouldn't have touched the likes of Bradshaw and Billy Gunn. The guy didn't even have enough room on his roster for Marty Jannetty who was ten times the worker of both those dicks put together and a bigger name in the business than the pair of them.

Oh OK, and I didn't know that part about the Hart/WCW thing, but he could have really protested against it. And besides, during this time when ratings are down, and Bret Hart could really help, the loyal thing to do would be to do some public appearances, and maybe work in the WWE as a commentator, road agent, talent scout or manager. I think the ratings for WWE Experience would at least triple if Bret Hart and Bobby Heenan were your hosts, instead of Todd Grisham and Ivory.

When I said Val Venis was loyal, I meant what you stated about WCW offering him a contract. Apparantly it was worth more than the WWE's, but Sean Morely signed with Vince and co. anyway. That's something they haven't seemed to have forgotten, and what I think might be keeping Venis around in the WWE, especially after they cut 11 or so people in the last few weeks.

All they need to do to get Bret Hart back in some form is just oublically admit they screwed him and made a mistake doing it. Vince never will though so it's a lost cause.
