The Basham Brothers

So what to do with The Bashams? Are they going ot be a part of the Layfield Corporation as a heel tag team now? This makes sense as Amy Weber, Orlando Jordan and JBL aren't exactly a top notch stable without a bit more back-up. The Bashams add that, now all they need is a cruiserweight wrestler. I think Kidman might be a good shoe filler for that role. Shannon Moore and Paul London are other possibilities.

Or is this whole Basham thing just them acting as if they'd do anything for money? Tehy really reminded me of hyennas on SmackDown!. Maybe Doug's going towards being the schemeing brother, while Danny's the ferocious one? I don't know, but I thought it would be nice to open a thread on one of the only named tag teams in the WWE, and it is sad they may be soon headed for a break-up.

I want them to break up, give them a new lease of life.
The Damaja- Basham fud in OVW was supposed to be brilliant.

well it's a nice idea to see them remain as a tag team but to join the Layfield Corp... that's debatable.

I don't like the idea of a Layfield stable cause Smackdown already has Angle's heel stable, and one main event heel stable is enough.

As for the Bashams, I'd like to see them split because they don't draw well as a tag team. The Damaja/Doug Basham feud would be a great midcard feud for the future, but it would require a bit of work to get both of them more over, and convince the fans they're worthy of their TV time.

I could see Damaja in a U.S. title program in the distant future.

A JBL stable would be really cool. Angle's stable is a fucking piece of shit. It would have been much better with Charlie Haas in the group instead of Jindrak

Kurt ANgle has a stable? Wow, I guess I won't be watching Smackdown anytime soon; it's not like I've been able to stomach it for the last three months or anything.

JBL would be the only main event wrestler, though. It's more just an associationg thing. BTW, Angle's stable needs a name, a titantron video, theme music and merchandise before I consider it main event quality.

On Smackdown they were in the crowd wearing disguises, one in a Mysterio mask, one with a hat and wig.... Basically they ran in, and laid out RVD and Mysterio with what looked like a taped fist shot... Basically they saved the match for JBL and Orlando.

I do see the Bashmens as more hyenas than anything else... Sort of like what the Baldies were in ECW. I can see them working for JBL, but not being with him.

IMO, the perfect character portrayal right now would be for Doug to sign up Danny and himself for the "Layfield Corporation", which although we don't see it, Danny doesn't quite agree with. He likes the money, and the wins, but he's sick of not being included in his brother's decisions like he's mentally uncapable or something.

Eventually, after another run or two with the WWE Tag Team Championship, Doug blames Danny for the loss, and then we see Danny B snap and go back to his Damaja charatcer from OVW. Maybe he could even take Amy Weber as a valet?

correction....they laid out Booker T and Eddie Geurrero....2 of JBL's Opponents at armagedon.

I think JBL hired them so he can keep his belt.
