Which is more impressive to you?

Cal Ripken's Streak, or Brett Favre's streak?

Favre's by far. He gets the shit beat out of him every week and he still plays.

Plus Ripken got a year off with his streak

Ripken hands down. 2000 + games straight as the Orioles Shortstop is brutal

I think Favre's is slightly more impressive. Ripken playing in that many games is amazing for any sport, but Favre's sport is a lot tougher, every start was legit, and he had a broken thumb on his throwing hand last yr. Ripken did get a yr off, and there wre times he started and stayed for a few innings just to keep th e streak alive.

I am going to have to go for Favre aswell just because of all of his injuries that he has played through, and he has played on a very high level the whole time.

I'm having a tough time agreeing with Favre. I respect Favre's streak and all but I don't see how it's better than Ripken's.

Football may be a more physical sport but the players only have to give 100 % once a week. I doubt that the Packers defense would sack Favre (or any Quaterback in practice). And I also doubt that Favre has participated in every Packers practice.

Baseball positional players play 162 games a year. Playing shortstop and going up to bat 3-5 times a game is mentally and physically tough on a player. As well Ripken has had to keep himself in perfect physical condition in order to play 20 years straight

I respect both GREAT athletes but I think that Ripken's streak is FAR superior.

Favre. Football is a more physically demanding sport than baseball, the chances of getting seriously hurt are 1000x more. Also Ripken was shit his last few years, Favre is still one of the top QB's in the NFL today.

The Miz is definately correct here. Just the fact that Favre is still good is all that matters.

JW, how many years were each respective streak?

Farve easy.

Not just is he still on top of his game, he didn't have any "streak saving games".

Ripkens last years was about Ripken, they had better players or should have gotten a better player, plus there were plenty of games where he got his 1 AB to be "active" and then sat down, not to mention the strike.

Favre by a longshot

Not to take away anything from Ripken 'cause that's pretty good too, but football is so much more physically demanding. There is no physical contact in baseball, so the only way you could get injured is if you're out of shape or something freakish happens (like your knee pops out or something ridiculous that could happen in any other everyday situation)

Favre is the man <3

It's close now. When Favre goes as many years as Cal did, no one will doubt that his is more impressive, though.
