ECW Rise and Fall DVD selling very well

"Rise & Fall of ECW" DVD sells 22,000 + in first week, other 2004 titles
» Reported by Adam Martin of WrestleView.com
» On Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at 5:13 PM EST

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Recent figures provided by Videoscan indicate that the new "Rise & Fall of ECW) DVD has moved a total of 22,113 copies in the first week of sales. 13,966 copies were sold via the Internet, while 8,006 copies were sold in chains such as Best Buy, FYE and others. The remaining sells were sold in smaller entertainment outlets.

In comparsion to other WWE DVD titles released in 2004, the "Rise & Fall of ECW" DVD is now the 8th best selling for this year so far. It should be noted that in one week of sales, the "Rise & Fall of ECW" doubled the sales of the new Eddie Guerrero DVD (which has failed to reach 10,000 copies so far). Here is the Top 10 right now:

#1 - WrestleMania XX (101,145 copies)
#2 - Monday Night War (80,157 copies)
#3 - Mick Foley's Greatest Hits & Misses (49,784 copies)
#4 - Ultimate Ric Flair Collection (41,040 copies)
#5 - Hard Knocks: Chris Benoit Story (30,007 copies)
#6 - The Undertaker: He Buries Them Alive (26,638 copies)
#7 - John Cena - Word Life (23,388 copies)
#8 - Rise & Fall of ECW (22,113 copies so far)
#9 - Bloodbath: Steel Cage (21,106 copies)
#10 - Survivor Series 2003 (20,907 copies)

Hopefully this means that they will try to use more of the ECW footage for future DVD's

They haven't really done much to promote Eddie's DVD. They never mentioned the release date and didn't really go into very much detail in the little advertising they did.

Same with the Stone Cold Truth. That probably would be more up there if that wasn't already shown on TV.

I have everything on that list except the John Cena one, the Taker one (I have it on video, but I may pick it up anyway), and Survivor Series.

I'm sure the ECW DVD will at least surpass Benoit's DVD with time.

I have all those apart from Undertaker's reissue.
