Im trying to create an avatar for a soccer board with this gif http://www.aqsd63.dsl.pipex.com/ronaldoanim.gif im just wondering how to make a smaller version that still allows the gif to run

i used adobe image ready, it's not a perfect square since i couldn't trim it so the height is only 49.
