Camping Out for Tickets

Has anyone here ever camped out for Raw tickets? If you have, what time of night did you get to the arena? If you haven't, what time do you think might be good? Raw's coming here in February, and I'm going to camp out, and I think I should start around 6 pm.

No...I got all my tickets through friends who work for TicketMaster or through promotional deals...all the good seats (The first 5 rows or so) are soldout before the tickets officially go on sale...not to discourage you or anything...

If I recall correctly even back in 99 and 00 most people didn't camp overnight...I would guess that if you arrive at your ticket salls location at around 4 or 5 in the morning you would be either the first or second person there.

What are promotional deals?

I used to wrestle on the Indie scenes...if WWE uses one of your talents (as a jobber on Jakked/Metal/Dark Match) they usually (or at least used to) give out a few tickets to the company who the talent worked for. I always put my name in the hat to get the tickets and for some reason always won. Just lucky I guess.

In my opinion, it's a waste to camp out. Unless it's a show like WrestleMania, get in line a few hours before hand, say 6AM. If it's WrestleMania, a camp out wouldn't be a bad idea, but even then, you will not be guaranteed good seats, because the good seats go fast, especially because of Ticketmaster, the internet, and phone ins. Plus, if there are raffles for tickets in line, you might have camped out for hours only to find out you're going to be next to last in line.

Wrestling isn't as popular as it was in the Attitude era, and even then, I never heard of anyone camping out for a Raw, unless maybe because the WWE was never there or something.

Your best bet, IMO, is to get them online, no lines and you can get the best seats there I'd say. (I've seen third row seats for PPV's still available the day of the event.) But don't waste your time to camp out overnight for a Raw.

It depends on how many people are there. If there are only a few, there won't be, if there are a lot, there might be. Call the arena and ask if the do that kind of thing.

I wouldn't camp out for tickets for WrestleMania if Bret Hart was making a comeback.

I'd consider it if there was a total Hart Foundation reunion but depends where it was.
