Dave... you are way awy too biased. I mean there are certain movies out there that the remakes were actually good. I mean how many have really seen the classic Italian Job?

I saw the remake and that was the goods. I mean if it was the remake then I could've given it a 9 but since you wanted to be a prick then not that many can vote. Be more open minded.

Please give me some decent examples of when the remake was better? Go on please? PLUS the remake wasn't even a proper fucking remake, the only real similarities were minis and a bank robbery, that's it,

Just because i'm picking a british movie i'm being biased? That's like saying that because i've done some Japenese movies i'm being biased. USA movies are not the centre of the world and I want to get a varied number of films out.

If you haven't seen it, don't vote, simple really

No, the remake happened to be shit.

I don't really see the point in remaking classic films simply to cater for an audience that is too stupid to appreciate the brilliance of the original. I especially hate films that are remade with happy endings.

I don't see how it was made to cater to stupidity. It was made with actors people in our generation could relate to.

I haven't seen the original, so I can't judge, but the remake was a cool little film.

Ipso facto your generation is very stupid.

This very fact is demonstrated by the fact that you can not relate to performaces given by actors in previous generations.

How about shutting the fuck up. lol. I haven't seen the older version, I don't know what it's like, I can't judge.

I'm sure I'd like it, but I haven't seen it.

Assumption is the mother of all fuckups, don't assume what I like, or in this case, dislike.

Or maybe I shouldn't have assumed you were referring to me, then in that case, I don't give a fuck. You're still really annoying.

I made no 'assumption' of your tastes, simply your intellect and the lack of it. This 'assumption' is backed up and supported by the facts. The facts are demonstrated by your actions.

I rest my case.

yo yo chill chill. and also as far as remakes... not all of them are terrible. I mean sometimes it is the remakes that allow the new generation to know that there is an original version and guide us to it. If it was good then we are more prone to see it and if it sucked then it may keep us away or for the adventurous people it may guide them to see it to see how they screwed it up. So really all I'm sayin is we can't just toss out all remakes. Some are actually better than the original.

You sure like to bitch until your opinion is held up high for all to see, I agree with SuperSlim how remakes sometimes make people watch the classic.

If there were no remakes, in a few generations time, all the good old time movies would be forgotten.

How many remakes are considered better than the originals thought really?

The only one off the top of my head that I can think of is Ocean's 11
