Old School - GTA 3 Vice City help needed
I know that its passe but still...

Anyway, I am stuck on 'demolition man' on my PC. I seriously can not do this level and I think it is stopping me from progressing with the extra missions (I've completed the main story). There is supposed to be a way to freeze the timer but that means messing around with the code, something I have no idea about.

I've started at the top, I've started at the bottom, I have killed all the workmen and guards before getting the bombs but I am simply no good at this level and it is pissing me off!!!!!! The helicopter (in fact everything flying wise) is just impossible without a joystick.



So he fucked them in school. All I know is there were rumours. There were rumours he was into field hockey players. There were rumours (So I applied basically), he was gone the next day, (I went on their team), it's like he was gone, it was like so hush hush, they were so quiet about it, and the next thing you know...

yeah man i hated that mission so much when i played that game

the only thing i can recommend is start from the top... thats the only way i could do it. I didn't kill the guys before, i just went into it

search gamefaqs or something, there's always some awesome advice there

Everything about the mission is fucked up. The way you view the helicopter is shit so it is hard to judge how close you are to things. There always seems to be one bit where it all gets fucked up and I lose control of the chopper.

I'm guessing that I need to do this mission to do the Cuban and Hatian missions because I haven't done them yet.

you just have to get used to the controls, it's easy once you know the controls.

all I can recommend is to tap forward to lean forward, you don't want to go in a full frontflip, always turn with the rudder not the leaning turn, as for the security guards you want to take them out because they have guns and could attack the chopper even if you're not close to them. Basicly stay high, some of the stairs are missing so you can fly straight up a few floors instead of going up each floors stairs.

I've sussed out the stairs but I just find the whole control thing really hit and miss. Its also really random when the mission fucks up. I think I'm pissed off because I've come close and run out of time/smashed the chopper.

However, I use the helicopter and park on the mall roof.

just don't worry about being spot on with the barrels, as long as you're in the general area it'll place it in the right spot.

I really hated that mission. But I just got used to it and eventually done it after about a million goes.

i hated the mission at first, but once you figure out how to control the helicopter, it's really really simple.

a big hint: drop the bomb on the highest floor FIRST, and work your way down. also, completely ignore the workers throwing shit at you, just drop the bomb and get out. they barely touch you through the whole thing.

I'll keep plugging away. The flying missions (the Seaplane mission is also pissing me off) are just a total pain.

What's weird is flying a normal helicopter I don't have half as many problems as I do with the fucking RC helicopter.

Also, am I right in thinking that I need to do this mission to trigger the other extra missions (Cubans, hatians etc?)

I fucking give up. I was going really nicely had 3.00 left and was just about to place the 3rd bomb and I dropped it and it said I had missed the target and the fucking bomb was in mid air.

Does anyone want to do this level for me. I give up on it. I can email anyone the saved game file. :cry:

it's much easier, though, because you get the hardest ones out of the way first, so the mission gets easier as you go, instead of getting more difficult.
