Former ECW star at Raw Tonight
Thanks to Mike Johnson at PWInsider for the following:

-- Former ECW World Tag Team Champion and TNA star New Jack is backstage at RAW tonight. The show is being held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and New Jack is apparently scheduled for a try out match.

Apparently, a few weeks back New Jack had contacted WWE. He brought up some ideas he had on how to use him, and it appears that WWE may be taking a look at using him.

Sometimes watching an old New Jack match can be fun, but I don't see what on earth WWE would have for him to do. Amazing that they are giving him a tryout after his recent incident.

I thought New Jack got arrested for getting to violent in a match a couple months ago.He was pretty entertaining in ECW so maybe he will be decent if he makes it

Yeah, from what I've heard he's not the best wrestler in the world. Meh, I'm not in a good enough mood to try and say "Good job, WWE.", but if New Jack can do something worthwhile in the WWE, then.................meh.

Hmm...New Jack. The guy who's credibility revolves around 4 sactioned kills when he was a bounty hunter, a guy who's only offensive is beating people with weapons or jumping from balconies, a guy who threw Jack Victory off a scaffle for one of the sickest bumps I've ever seen, and of course a guy who recently stabbed a man for what I hear was 14 times in a non-hardcore match. Sure, let's see him in WWE facing Triple H.

Look at it this way: he's about as good of a wrestler as JBL, but much more entertaining on the mic and can probably get over with the gangster-obsessed 16-22 year old demographic.

Now the WWE can get sued by every dumbass who kills their 4 month old baby brother/sister with a wrestling move because "they like new jack".


I can't fucking stand wrestlers who have to resort to BULLSHIT to get over. Hell, I don't like modern day deathmatches because of that. I want to see wrestling with some weapon spots, NOT two guys stabbing each other in the ass with broken glass.

Well let's put it this way. Every time I have logged on to my Yahoo in the last week, New Jack has been online. Tonight he isn't (and I realised I just gave away one of my contacts in the biz by saying this - only took me 4 years).

Hopefully he'll kill HHH.

New Jack=A waste of time and money. Maybe Vince should try to go after guys that'll keep his company afloat. Vince should do everything in his power to get Christopher Daniels and American Dragon/Bryan Danielson and not stick them with a crappy gimmick

Apparently he pitched an idea to Vince that he was actually interested in, which resulted in tonight's try-out match. It probably went something like this:

Vince (into phone): Hey, Paul, how's it goin'? Look, we've done the German insignia thing, we've done the iron eagle thing, it's time to take it to the next level. Tomorrow night, we're going to do an Ethnic Cleansing angle, and you're going to kill some black guy named New Jack... uh huh... uh huh.... yeah, barb wire and exploding boards. New Jack: .....aight....

Vince (big grin): Welcome to the WWE, New Jack!

(They shake hands and New Jack walks away. Vince watches him leave and picks up the phone and dials.)

Vince (into phone): Hey, Paul, how's it goin'? Look, we've done the German insignia thing, we've done the iron eagle thing, it's time to take it to the next level. Tomorrow night, we're going to do an Ethnic Cleansing angle, and you're going to kill some black guy named New Jack... uh huh... uh huh.... yeah, barb wire and exploding boards. I'm working on the rabid mexican rats... great to hear it, see you tomorrow night, Hunter.... yeah, yeah, I know you wanted to kill Rosey first, but we'll work on it. Okay, bye son.

More then likely, this is just a rumor or a way to shake things up, for the potential ECW PPV, which we'll proberly never have....
