Create-a-Move

I'm bored, so I figured I'd do another of these topics. Basically post ideas that you'd like to see in a wrestling move, or something you think would suit wrestlers currently in wrestling. Or just post stories about how you wanted to see amove done then you;ve seen it done.

Here are some moves that I'd like to see (if they haven't already been done):

Reverse Powerbomb
Image a powerbomb position where your opponent's head is between your legs. Now imagine it if they were facing upwards (as if set up for a reverse DDT, only between their legs). From there the wrestler performing the move, goes through with a powerbomb motion. So the opponent goes form facing upwards, flipped up so they are facing the mat, then slammed down face/chest first.

Chris Benoit using this move as a lead in to either the Crippler Crossface or Sharpshooter would be great, IMO. Image a facebuster added to the move for an effective double team.

Wheelbarrow Dragon Suplex
Say Rey Mysterio and Ultimo Dragon are in a match. Re Rey goes for his signature wheelbarrow move, but Dragon lifts him up, grabs him in a full nelson, then plants him with a dragon suplex.

Wheelbarrow Facebuster
I fantasise about this move everytime the Bashams are in the ring. I can see it being performed on Mysterio quite easily. Danny catches Rey in the wheelbarrow position, then he slams him face first down on Doug's knee.

Alabaman Suplex
This is an ideal move for Hardcore Holly and Charlie Haas. Hardcore sets up the opponent for an Alabama Slam, but Haas catches them and lands a German on them.

STOkeslam
Basically an STO-style move, with the performing wrestler pushing them down via the throat.

Rolling DDTs
A DDT, with the facelock maintained, and rolled up and into another DDT.

Exploding Bomb
Exploder Suplex, caught and landed into a powerbomb by someone.

That's all for now, but I'll probably have some more tomorrow.

It'd be kinda nasty having the powerbomber's balls in your face, though.

This would probably result in death, but a vertical suplex, except instead of falling back, you let the victim fall backward and then you sit down into a neckbreaker position.

You start off going for a belly-to-back suplex (not a German). And you pop them up over your shoulder like you are going for the "victim backflips out of the suplex" spot, except that you catch them by the head and drop into a bulldog. This is actually a move in the Def Jam games (these games are based on WWE No Mercy for the N64).

Powerbomb/reverse DDT double team combo. All I have to say is ouchie.

Stalling vertical suplex/missile dropkick double team combo.

A Rolling Torture Rack/DVD
Basically, put your opponent in the Torture Rack, then hit a DVD. Still holding on, roll through in a cartwheel-like motion, and keep applying the Torture Rack. Repeat.

360/450 Bomb
This would only work (as safe as possible) on a high ladder or a cage. Just do a powerbomb off the cage/ladder, and flip with it, ending it in a Powerbomb. If it was done on a turnbuckle, I don't know how it would turn out.

Spiral DDT
Start out in the reverse DDT position, and in mid air, corkscrew them into a regular DDT.

Coast to Coast Moonsault
Only guys with a great jumping distance could pull this off. Start on one side of the ring, jump to the other side (not the turnbuckles), and hit a moonsault.

I'm not sure whether this has already been done but...

Individual sets up opponent so in position for reverse DDT (head face up under arm). Person flips opponent backwards over head like a release german suplex but keeping head in grip of his arm. Individual falls onto back and opponent hits mat with body but head still loosely tucked under arm of the offender.

Opponent is out and crowd drools over the excellency of what they have witnessed.

This was my finisher in a E-FED, well besides for my Shooting Star Press i called the Helmsphere...anyways, the move I'm taking about, I called the Final Flash

I would get my oppenent in a Tiger Suplex Position (How Christian starts the Unprettier) I would then, move backwards and step and climb the turnbuckles with the guy still hooked, then flip forward, dropping him head first into the mat

Basically A Flipping Unprettier from the turnbuckles

A brain buster that doesn't turn into a suplex would be cool to see. Mind you, the poor sap would probably die if a brain buster was done properly.

That one I've seen before in the Fire Pro Games, except slightly different. The victim has been rolled up from behind by the 'bomber, who stands over the bent-upside-down victim so that the victim's feet are facing him, grabs him by the waist, flips him up face-down, then slams him. I don't honestly know if the version you described would work, simply because it'd be too difficult to keep the guy bent over backwards long enough (you can bend forward at the waist no problem, but to bend backwards enough you'd have to bend at the knees and practically limbo into position)

I came up with the name of this move. The Fast lane DDT.

{You spin your opponent around like an Angle Slam and then quickly turn in around at the last minute. Spin them arond a few times and then you nail them face down with a ddt.}

I have been thinking about the rolling DDT. [I have never seen OVW so I thought I was being original] What exactly is a rolling ddt. That would be like Eddie Guerrero's suplexes right? WHere he suplexes him once and then rolls his knees to do it again 3 times?

I don't know if this one has been done or not, but I like it.

Figure-Four Leg Drop

Got the idea from Dusty Rhodes vs Ric Flair. Dusty had a way of putting the Figure-Four on Flair that didn't involve spinning around like most folks do, though I can't really explain it (it kinda looked like he was about to do a Texas Cloverleaf)

Anyways, here's my idea. Once your opponent's legs are in the Figure-Four position (but before you're on the ground to complete the hold), jump up, hook your free leg over your opponent's, and legdrop him into the submission. It'd look painful as hell (but would probably be hard as hell to do without breaking your opponent's shin)

Individual falls onto back and opponent hits mat with body but head still loosely tucked under arm of the offender.

Opponent is out and crowd drools over the excellency of what they have witnessed.
Kinda like an Osaka Stunner, eh?

Heck, I'd love to see someone use the Osaka Stunner (inverted suplex into a stunner). That'd be cool.

Anyway, I've figured out a ton of "original" moves that always turned out to be used somewhere... usually in an indy fed.

I came up with the Catatonic before I ever saw it. Or rather, I came up with a move that I later found out was the Catatonic. Still a pretty cool move. Put the guy in powerslam position over your left shoulder. Spin him around to your right then land into a sort of Rock Bottom move (forward sambo suplex technically).

The STO is the one that's kinda like a reverse F-5, right? Where you get the guy in fireman's carry position, then swing him back and fall down into a neckbreaker move.

A variation of the F-5 would involve getting a guy in a torture rack, then spinning him over your head, turning him at the same time, so that you end with a face buster. The Xtreme version of the move would end in a DDT. I prefer the latter, but the former could be made to look like the latter and still be a safe move to perform (in fact, I'd love Luther Reigns to either do this move or the STO).

Exploder Brainbuster would basically have you land the guy on his head.

Another move would have a guy try to clothesline you but miss as you duck under. Then you turn around as he's still facing the same direction and get your right hand betwee his legs and your left around his neck. In one flowing motion (starting from the missed clothesline) you pick him up with your right hand and sort of do an arching one-handed powerbomb straight onto his neck. It could be used in a "broke the guy's neck" angle.

Get someone in a Dominator position, except when you swing them over your shoulder, have one hand over their neck clasped to your other hand which slides over his armpit, thereby giving you a safe choking position. Keep it there as a submission move. This is basically a modified torture rack.

A few flying moves that probably aren't original but are pretty hard to do and require intense athleticism...

CORKSCREW SHOOTING STAR PRESS
Standard SSP with and full lateral flip within it.

REVERSE 450.
Do the 450 splash except you face toward the audience instead toward the center of the ring when you go up, and when you land, your head remains on the turnbuckle side.

And there are a ton of cool X-Division type moves I'd love to see:
- Moonsault straight into a flowing DDT
- SSP into a flowing DDT (actually, I've heard of that being done, just never got to see the footage)
- Get a guy sprawled with half of his body over the ropes. Go to the top and do a leg drop onto his head.

And many others...

Awesome ideas, man. That Reverse 450 you mentioned is called "The Imploding Star Press" I think. It's probably been done before, but I'd love to see a move that I would probably call the Shooting Star Senton. You start off on the top turnbuckle (or where ever the move is being performed from), facing a downed opponent. You then jump off the turnbuckle flipping backwards 450 degrees so that you land on your opponent in a senton bomb.

The STO stands for Space Tornado Osawa (I think), and it is when you have your opponent standing in front of you, then you kick one leg out from them while hitting them with a hard clothesline. Brock Lesnar did it for a while from memory, and Kenzo Suzuki does his variation where he puts his hand on the opponent's face, pushing their head back once he's taken a leg out from the opponent. I like to call it the "Bronze Claw".

Here are some more ideas for moves, I'm not sure if they've been done before, though:

Cartwheel Bodybreaker
The performing wrestler is facing their opponent (it would probably work better if they were doubled-over like the set-up for Booker T's Scissors Kick). The wrestler hitting the move cartwheels over the opponent, catching them in a headlock on the way over, landing in a kneel-out position, which would end-up like Randy Orton's move (I'm not sure if it has a name, or if this one is currently in use, but I like the term "Bodybreaker" for that type of move) where he snaps the opponent over his back.

This would look phenominal from the top-rope, and would make a great finisher for a cruiserweight.

Reverse German Suplex
There is a move called the "Northern Lights Driver" I think. I'm not sure what the move is, but I have a feeling it is much like the one I am about to describe.

The performing wrestler locks an opponent as if going for a belly-to-belly suplex. He then lifts the opponent, but drops them on their head/neck ( much like a German suplex-style effect). If a wrestler like Chris Benoit could roll these......

Full-Nelson Vacuum Cleaner
On SmackDown! Danny Basham took advantage of Rey Mysterio being in a wheelbarrow position, by slamming him down in what I can only describe as an inverted pancake. I don't know why, but I keep thinking "vacuum cleaner" would make a great name for this move. It has the blowing motion of the wrestler using great force to slam the opponent down, and it has the sucking motion of how the wrestler taking the move must suck up their gut afterwards. It just seems fitting to me.

Anyway, I've seen this move before, and I think it made its way into Billy Kidman's moveset for a while. Anyway, image this move with a full-nelson applied. Or maybe even a half-nelson where the performing wrestler uses the half-nelson to "weigh" the opponent over into a reverse prawn hold/clutch pin. I don't think I described that well, but anyway...

Pop-Up DDT
The performing wrestler has their opponent in a front-facelock, then they fall back into a bridge, driving the opponent into a DDT. From there they can pop-up with the opponent still in the facelock, then they can hit another one. Repeat at leisure, or they can turn it into some kind of choking submission.

Dragon DDT
This would be a good move for one of those "the opponent has put their head down looking for a back body drop but did it way to early" spots. The wrestler performing the move has the opponent bent over in DDT position, and from there they hook the arms in a fashion that would set-up a backslide. They then drop in a weight-added DDT.

Dragon Bridge DDT
The performing wrestler has their opponent in a wheelbarrow. They then lock in a standing dragon sleeper (that in itself would make a great move). From there the performing wrestler can turn it into a revrse brainbuster style move, but I'd LOVE to see them fall back in a bridge like move (or just in a flat-back, blasting the opponent with a high-angle reverse DDT.

I could go on all night lsiitng high impact moves. Like a Gory Special STO and stuff, but I'm too tired right now, but anyway keep those moves coming.

No, that's a TKO. The STO is a basic Jiu Jitsu takedown. Picture a Rock Bottom, but instead of lifting the opponent up and slamming him, you step forward with your inside leg and hook his to get him off balance, then take him down.

Wind up DDT (inspired by Alienoid's Dragon DDT)

Basically, you stand back to back with your oppnent in the backslide position, but instead of rolling them forward into a DDT, you flip backward over their shoulder and drill their face into the mat.

One of my personal favorites is an E-wrestling move called the Machine Cutter

Basically, A front Flip off the top into an Ace Crusher.

I'm sure someone does it, but I came up with it... about '96, '97.

Cattle Annihilation/Tractor Beam Abduction
I'm lost for alien terms, but I have this move in mind. The performing wrestler has the victim in a full-nelson position, with their feet wrapped around his waist (like the full-nelson wheelbarrow position I was tlaking about earlier). The performing wrestler then slams them down while keeping the full-nelson in and bridges through into a Cattle Mutilation.

Please tell me I'm not the only one that remembers Pete Gas of the Mean Street Posse trying to do a Blockbuster (which was called the Gas Mask) and it just ended up being a shoulder block from the second rope (sort of like how LT beat Bam Bam, only much much worse). Whenever I mention it to anyone, they don't remember it. "I'M NOT CRAZY!!!" I shout at them while holding them at knife-point. I also seem to remember Rodney (Poop) botching whatever his finisher was supposed to be in that same match. I'm gonna need someone to go ahead and prove my sanity for me, mkay? Thanks a bunch.

When we wrestled in our own backyard fed, we mostly took existing moves and modified them.

This kid had this move that started from a bulldog position, but he'd hook both of your arms like a double underhook suplex, then he'd go the standard bulldog motion. In effect, it was a Double Arm DDT; but from the back it seemed cool to look at. He called it the Lazy Bull.

This same kid did what Hogan and The Rock did; make a simple move a popular finisher. He called this the Lazy Leg Drop; basically he'd start tapping his leg like it fell asleep during the match and he'd limp around. Then after the crowd soaked it in, he'd simply drop the leg on you like a sak of potatoes. It was the only move that actually got a pop from the other guys who watched his matches.

No lie, but I think I invented the Pump Handle Backbreaker, which is pretty much what it sounds like. From the Pump Handle position lift you opponant and drop him on your knee. Eddie G. did this move on Smackdown! and I got so pissed. I started doing it in '99. Correct me if I'm wrong.

A move I wanted to do but never pulled off was something I called the Nazi Bomb. From the Powerbomb position, take the others guys arms and cross them in a straight jacket form, while holding on to his arms (wrist specifically) go the usual Powerbomb motion landing on your knees while the other lands on his neck. Be sure to support his back and neck with your knees at the time you drop him.

The gas mask was an inverted full nelson into a sitdown powerbomb

Also, to whoever mentioned the exploder brainbuster, Jun Akiyama does an Exploder DVD that's pretty sick looking (Called Sterness Dust I believe.)

I just want to seen an elevated Twist of Fate type move, where he lifts him up for a vertical suplex, but leaves him at an angle, and then does the twist..
