WWE Royal Rumble Update+Rundown
WWE ROYAL RUMBLE:
WWE RAW: 1. Edge (qualified over Rhyno) - could be a major factor in the match, might not, unlikely chance of winning 2. Shelton Benjamin (qualified over Maven) - might be played as a major factor, no chance of winning 3. Christian (qualified at House Show) - could be an exciting addition, no chance of winning 4. Kane (qualified at House Show) - should be pretty important in this match, unlikely chance of winning 5. Chris Jericho (qualified over Muhammad Hassan) - possible elimination or two, unlikely chance of winning 6. Shawn Michaels (qualified via Eric Bischoff) - probably will be eliminated or will elimination Edge, unlikely chance of winning - REMAINING SPOT POSSIBILITIES (assuming there are no special guests): 7. Chris Benoit - could be a decent, exciting addition, very unlikely chance of winning 8. Ric Flair - will probably do a few entertaining spots, no chance of winning 9. Batista - should be the major factor for RAW in the match, possible chance of winning 10. Gene Snitsky - unlikely to be in the match, no chance of winning 11. Tyson Tomko - should be in the match, but probably won't, could have been an exciting factor 12. William Regal - unlikely to be in the match, no chance of winning 13. Simon Dean - potential entrant, no chance of winning 14. Viscera - always good to have a big guy in there, no chance of winning 15. Tajiri or The Hurricane - one will likely be in the match, no chance of winning --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WWE SMACKDOWN!: 1. Daniel Puder (Tough Enough Winner) - probably a surprise elimination by him, no chance of winning 2. Luther Reigns (qualified over Nunzio/Scotty 2 Hotty) - should stay in for a while, no chance of winning 3. Mark Jindrak (qualified over Nunzio/Scotty 2 Hotty) - possible elimination or two, no chance of winning 4. Orlando Jordan (qualified over Charlie Haas) - possible elimination or two, no chance of winning 5. Booker T (qualified at House Show) - should stay in for a while and put up a good fight, unlikely chance of winning 6. Scotty 2 Hotty (qualified over Akio) - meh, no chance of winning 7. John Cena (qualified over Rene Dupree) - should be the major factor for SmackDown!, possible chance of winning 8. Rey Mysterio (qualified over Chavo Guerrero) - should be an exciting addition, no chance of winning 9. Charlie Haas (qualified at House Show) - shouldn't be much of a factor, no chance of winning - REMAINING SPOT POSSIBILITIES (assuming there are no special guests): 10. Hardcore Holly - meh, no chance of winning 11. Eddie Guerrero - should be an exciting factor, unlikely chance of winning 12. Rob Van Dam - should be an exciting factor, unlikely chance of winning 13. Kenzo Suzuki - meh, no chance of winning 14. Carlito and/or Jesus - meh, no chance of winning 15. Spike Dudley and/or Dudleys - a Dudleys return could be good for the match, no chance of winning --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The main candidates for victory this year come down to Batista from RAW and John Cena from SmackDown!... Other potential candidates from RAW include Edge, Kane, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit... That's about it... Nobody else on the brand even has a chance of winning the match so there is always the possibility the winner will be from SmackDown!... Aside from John Cena, other potential candidates from SmackDown! include Booker T, Eddie Guerrero and Rob Van Dam... Assuming the winner is not Batista, the most likely man from SmackDown! would definitely be Cena... This year's Rumble is lacking some excitement and some outsiders as potential winners for the Rumble Match... Surprise entrants would be key for both brands this year to enhance the match and make it that much more exciting... Guys like Mick Foley and the Rock would indeed be exciting, as well as any possible returning legends or the debuting Chris Masters... Either way, as it is looking right now, RAW's Wrestlemania main event program is concentrating on the Randy Orton-HHH-Batista feud... The main event will include 2 or all 3 of those men... SmackDown!'s WrestleMania main event program will probably include JBL and an upcomer taking the title or a veteran program because SmackDown!'s direction is currently shady and hard to really detect as it stands... Hopefully this year's Rumble will indeed be a memorable one with solid matches prior to the Rumble and a memorable Rumble match... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CARD RUNDOWN: Royal Rumble Match - Batista or Cena? HHH-Orton - could be really good if booked well and will likely have major consequences revolving with the HHH-Batista-Orton program... JBL-Angle-Show - probably won't be a classic and the likely winner should be JBL... Hopefully this leads to something... Heidenreich-Taker - random and killed... Hopefully this is short and Heidenreich just gets pumelled... Hopefully this helps put Taker over... HBK-Edge - looks like they will be pulling double duty... Will be a solid match, I have no doubt... I'd like to see Edge going over but either way, I never really mind HBK winning... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JERICHO! He won't win, but I have a feeling he might do better than what we think. How great would it be to see Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, while Triple H challenges Batista elsewhere on the card?

RVD is injured.
I also doubt that John Cena is going to win this rumble. He's already the US champ and I highly doubt they're going to pull him from the US scene and put him into the wwe championship scene so quickly. My money is on BATISTA

I think Puder will eliminate Hardcore Holly. Much like Maven over taker........or Puder could eliminate Taker lol...and then taker destroy Puder like he did to Maven.

A face is going to win it, going into WM the two champs will be Triple H and JBL. So either Batista or....Cena??? I don't know. You know how they do the rumble, where they focus the storyline for about a couple of months on a couple of people who cut promos, saying they'll win the rumble and they end up doing it? Kind of hard to understand, but they should have someone like....Christian win it. Or Edge. Or Jericho. Or Daniel Puder. OR THE GOBBLEDY GOOKER! OH HELL YES!

Batista got this thing wrapped up.
Puder will most likely eliminate Baldcore and Baldcore will start yankin on Puder then someone comes from behind and tosses him out then the battle will happen tween Puder and Baldcore. |
