Computer / Printer Port Question

Is there a way to see what printer is connected to what port on a computer?? I ask because:

I have two printer. A Lexmark all-in-one deal, and a photo printer for my digital photos. They are both connected to my comp. with USB cable deals.

A while back I had some trouble with my computer and had to uninstall the Lexmark, and I just re-installed it. Now, all of the software stuff seems back - like the programs I need to print and stuff, but yet when I go to print, I get an error message that says "This program has performed an illegal action and will be shut down" and then another over the print dialogue box that says "Can not communicate with printer. Please check printer or user's guide".

I have a feeling that it has something to do with what port the computer is listing this printer as being on or whatever. Does that sound right to anyone, or what else could/should I try to do here??

Any help would be awesome.
