I worked out a great way to get the cruiserwieghts and Paul London over...

For a while keep London from winning the cruiserwieght belt, have him come close like 3 months in a role. Then on like the 4th ppv he finally wins it. The following Smackdown he is all high on himself and there is a ceremony or whatever. During which he says he is going to be a fighting champion. As soon as he says that, some new guys music hits (I don't know, someone like A.J. Styles or Chris Chetti, I don't care). He comes down, challenges London for that night. The new guy beats London clean and fast, not a squash, but just a definite win. London is devisated. New guy moves on.

Next week, London calls out (lets say it is Styles). London wants to use his rematch that night. Styles tells London that he beat him fair and square. Styles then goes on to say how he ran rough shot all over TNA's X-Division and shit like that. He then goes on the compare WWE's watered down cruiserwieght div to TNA. And he finalizes by saying that in one week, there is no way London could have trained up enough to be on Styles' level. London still wants his rematch. Styles says if London can have his rematch if London can best him in on hold/combo or whatever. They tie up, and Styles schools London.

In the following weeks Styles does more than face other cruiserwieghts. He starts to make a career for himself with the cruiserwieght title. He goes on an impressive winning streak and defends the cruiserwieght title occasionally. But he keeps saying that he is the premiere champion of smackdown. He goes on to become the US champion for a bit, still holding on to the cruiserwieght championship, and goes on a massive push. All the while Paul London is training and getting better and goes on a similar push. Then like finally it is wrestlemanina, London demands his rematch from Styles. They put on a match of the year canidate match. London wins, but at the end Styles raises Londons hand because Styles has moved past the cruiserwieght div, and passed the torch to London, and they both get pushed from there.

Cool Angle. Kazarian has a deal with WWE I think and is coming from TNA, so he fits. But, in reality, the WWE would never do this.

Sounds cool to us, but all it is really doing is putting over TNA's X-Division. I'm betting WWE wouldn't be too into that.

I do hate cruiserwieghts and A.J. Styles. Doesn't stop me from figure up a way to make them watchable. And yes, I know it would never happen.

If they could put together a good program between Paul London, Jimmy Yang, Kazarian, and Rey Mysterio (I don't care de-push him) it would be pretty sweet.

Good idea.

I still think they should have done something like this at No Way Out:

We have the Cruiserweight Open, and Spike Dudley is the man whow drew #1. Akio draws #2 and we have ourselves seven minutes of these guys. That's how long the entire match went for at No Way Out.

Anyway, these seven minutes are controlled by Akio, who plays the uber-heel over Spike. We see a spot where Dudley climbs to the top rope and is shoved off to the floor, and Akio follows in hot pursuit with a crossbody. He rolls Spike back in, and hits the double stomp from the top rope in taunt of Dudley. Spike battles back, but Akio manages to sneak out the win with a small package.

After this fall, Akio shrugs after he pinned Dudley (maybe have him use the tights to look more heelish), and Dudley then gives his sign of approval to Akio's methods. Akio then awaits his next opponent.

Paul London runs to the ring and we see these guys light up the night with their stuff. They have a toned down version of the stuff the do usually, and we see a few new spots by London. They go fr about eleven minutes when Paul hits his Reverse Sky High (let's just call it the PL Bomb for now) for the win.

The next entrant is Shannon Moore. Moore and London then have the longest fall of this match, and really mix wrestling with high-spots. They go about twenty minutes when Shannon Moore eventually snaps and gets himself DQ'd in a heelish manner, hopefully gaining him the character of being the frustrated, angry-guy of the division.

Teddy Long sends a message to Tony Chimmel who announces Paul London has a minute to recover from Shannon's assault.

After the minute we hear Chavo's theme and he is "The Real Guerrero". Chavo and London then have a match which isn't bad, but isn't both at their full potential. I'd hope they'd use this to basically emphasise that London has been in for ages and that Chavo knows how to pick apart an opponent. Guerrero would probably be the best bet for a "rest fall" opponent in this thing, because he can draw a lot of heat simply, and wrestle a decent match without drawing too much energy out of the other worker.

London goes over, with the 450 Splash after about eight minutes, and we have another minute break for London, just to play up the fact that he's hurting and tired. Funaki then runs out and we have the epic fall of this match.

Funaki and London pull off a decent showing with them hitting spots like the back body drop to the stairs, and all kinds of stuff. The excitemen would hopefully be up, and I'd have the winner pick it up with the Superkick. I'd personally put Funaki over, so you can have him look like a strong Champion, while setting up London as the challenger at WrestleMania.

This could have really made your angle more realistic.
