What are good headphones?

Well, I currently have a pair of Sony MDR-V150 headphones, bought them for $40 Cdn a while ago. They're nice headphones, very bassy when you have your sound adjusted, get pretty loud and all. I find them kind of cumbersome though. That's just because I'm picky though.

So anyway, I used to have a pair of rockin' Aiwa HP-X222 headphones that I loved. Unfortunately, being from Aiwa they were kinda shitty, durability-wise, and broke after about a year of owning them. I tried searching for that same pair again but no stores I could find had them, and online I had no luck either. I think they were discontinued or something. But they were hot, really big headphones, fit really comfortably, awesome sound output and bass, and even a nifty mute button that was pretty much useless but fun. The cord only came out of the left headphone (as opposed to the ones I have now with cords coming out both earpieces) and it was I think a 10' cord so it was quite awesome in that respect.

Anywho, I'm looking for a new pair of headphones, but don't really have any idea what brands/models are good. I figured I should start doing some research, and I guessss getting some opinions wouldn't hurt, so hook it up.

How much are you looking to spend, aboot? Why kind of heatset are you looking for? Over the ear.cup, bud earphobes, etc.?

I've used Sony MDR-V300s for 4 years now and haven't had any problems. They've had a really really hard life as well.

If you want quality... Go For sennheiser. But it'll cost ya

Look at these

My dad bought those, he hardly ever uses them so I use them. They have excellent sound quality being that it is Bose. Their home products are pretty good and so are these headphones. Bit steep for $129 but I think if you want something of superb quality you're going to pay that. Pretty durable as well, and comfortable.

Price isn't a HUGE concern, but I want to be reasonable. Not gonna spend like $400 on a pair of headphones (I'm looking mainly for something for just listening to at home and on my MP3 player, nothing extravagant)

As for the type, I prefer the uh.. I dunno cup kind I guess.. I had a pair of those like... ones that go behind your head and kind of wrap around your ears and all. I dunno they weren't bad but felt too flimsy or something.
