Is reviving the Four Horsemen really such a bad idea?

I admit, I never saw the Four Horsemen stable. Not one incarnation. When I heard the rumours that Chris Benoit, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Dean Malenko may be returning under that name I was thinking what a horrible idea it was.

If Malenko returned full-time you might have Benoit as a credible World Heavyweight Champion and Malenko as a credible IC Champion, but you're really gripping straws with it, and have a lot of wasted space with Flair and Anderson in the stable.

But this morning I was thinking. Could a new Horsemen stable actually work? With Evolution being shattered recently with the face turn of Dave Batista, after WrestleMania you have Triple H not doing anything. That's Triple H & Flair as two members of the stable. Who could fill the other roles?

I'm far too lazy to look up the stats, but Frankie Kazarian is a fairly big guy to be in the cruiserweight division. I'm not saying he shouldn't be in there, or that he wouldn't be an asset in it, but Frankie has a credible build, and he could be used in a Horsemen-like stable.

At WrestleMania we have Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels, which is rumoured to be Angle's last match. Assuming it is, and that Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak break-up, Reigns is going to need direction. Him teaming with Kazarian on RAW would be an interesting idea.

Another idea is to keep the Evolution name, and have Triple H, Ric Flair, Frankie Kazarian and Luther Reigns as its members. Then you have the Four Horsemen with Chris Benoit, Arn Anderson, Randy Orton & Shelton Benjamin to counter-act it.

If you're not too keen on Kazarian and Reigns in the role, you could have Christian & Tyson Tomko join. Or have Tomko go over to SmackDown! or something, and have Muhammad Hassan, Gene Snitsky, Randy Orton or a heel Shelton Benjamin join.

I'm not trying to say I'm absolutely for reviving a dead stable name, but I think the Horsemen may have a spot in wrestling if they use NEW members. A lot of guys like Charlie Haas have nothing to do, and having two new rookies join Triple H and Ric Flair at the moment might be a huge boost for them. Charlie Haas & Billy Kidman are two guys tha could really benefit from something like this.

I would rather see the emergence of a new Triple Threat then to see the four horsemen be brought back.

Is reviving the Four Horsemen really such a bad idea? Yes.

The 4 Horsemen is a legendary group, and is responsible for some of the best moments in wrestling during it's history. I think the group has served it's purpose, and especially with the current production and / or direction of the storylines / shows, it would be a dishonor to the name / history to bring it back and have it spit on.

Funny you should say that, I was just watching the Raw where Trips brings out X-Pac and he shoots on Bischoff and Hogan, and with The Outlaws vs Cactus and Chainsaw.

Damn, I was a DX mark back then. I probably still am.

Seriously, even the last 2 incarnations of the Horsemen weren't that great a reflection on the group's history. Evolution was good mostly because it was a tribute to but not a cheap replica of the Horsemen.

There are a lot of jokes being mde about how crappy the WWE's versions of classic stables, but don't you think it is POSSIBLE the WWE might be able to book a Four Horsemen stable effectively and credibly.

It's POSSIBLE that the WWE could be effective with their booking. It's possible I might get cast as the title role for Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Ice. It's possible Loose Cannon will one day be able to make sweet sweet love to Randy Orton...On the moon...

It's also possible, and I think far more likely that they should leave the past in the past.

I actually wouldn't mind Triple H in a Horsemen stable (if they brought it back). He's over as a heel, can wrestle, work the mic, and carries that classy image. You could also use him to add a political image to the Horsemen.

Alright, alright.

Horsemen is a no-no. What about keeping Evolution around? Triple H and Flair keep the name active until they have Randy Orton join at or soon after WrestleMania. Frankie Kazarian then joins at a later date. Not only would Orton and Kazarian make good IC Champions, you could have then serve as World Tag Team Champions as well.

You could work out some kind of angle where the Evolution members that are not IC Champion or World Heavyweight Champion challenge for the World Tag Team Championship. So if Triple H is going for the WHC, and Kazarian wins the IC Title from Shelton Benjamin at Bad Blood, Ric Flair and Randy Orton would enter the Tag Team Division together. Why not add a female wrestler to Evolution as well, so that they can have all the titles on RAW within reach?

Why not add a female wrestler to Evolution as well, so that they can have all the titles on RAW within reach?
To help add to WWE's "brand awareness", why not have them branch out to SD! too, so they can capture all the Titles not available on RAW as well? It'd be just as good as nWo was when they added 600 members to their roster.

Better, even.

The thing is, title dominance only works if there's a reason to do it. At this point, Evolution is passé, so all it can do is hurt.

Thinking about this from a regular standpoint, RAW doesn't need Evolution, but at least Evolution helps the guys in it, giving them immunity from Triple H for a while (unless your name is Randy Orton).

Triple H is NOT going anywhere. Evolution gives him something to do rather than having im go over every single talent in the WWE, and he helps people in the process.

It doesn't really help anyone. Except it makes Triple H look like he's less to blame.

adamwwe does not have that much rep yet (10+)
WWE thinks that they recreated the four horsemen already, with Evolution. Or they thought so, and realized they never and split them up.

Horemen back again... nonononono

horemen name was messed up adding the likes of Mongol McMichael in WCW. And as far as Evolution goes. They can still run. They have an image on Raw. All they need are fitting people in it. a heel Orton maybe. But seein him go back to it may not be the best. Kazarian, maybe. Maybe it's time Evolution did move on. but then that leaves nothing for Flair. It'll also let Triple H either run wild or at a loss with nothing to do. I think Evolution is still needed to give those two somewhat of a purpose. And it did help Batista and Orton. But who else could fit the role?

Anyone with a classy image would make a good third member. Christian, Karian, Maven, Charlie Haas, etc. Another classy person can act as a fourth member, but you could give purpose to someone like Rhyno, and continue "The Animal of Evolution" role.

aight let's look at that list.

Charlie Haas - former WWE tag champ. HAd a good thing goin on with the whole Dawn Marie/Jackie Gayda storyline, now he is a tag partner on Velocity with Hardcore Holly, they basically turned the guy into a nobody so he wouldn't exactly fit the mold.

Maven - You got to be kiddin me. He was just finally gettin passed his whole "Tough Enough" winner thing and then they shelve him. Besides he doesn't have the proper look for Evolution. I mean Maven in a suit and tie next to Triple H and Flair, he would look retarded.

Kazarian, possibility.

Chrisitan - the only one out of the bunch that I believe could pull it off but no. He has his own thing now and it is actually goin pretty good so there really isn't a need to put him in a stable that will only hold him down and he will be forced to be in the shadows of Triple H cause at least on his own he has more room to breathe and shine.

Rhyno as Evolution's animal... not feelin it. They jobbed him so bad that stickin him in Evolution would make the group look bad.

Basically if WWe wants to continue with Evolution they ahve to start moldin some guys now for it. And Chris Masters is not the guy to put in it cause he just sucks.

How about Triple H decides to make Evolution a more "violent" stable. Evolution has gotten far on being calm, cool, and collected, but now it is time to make Evolution to play by Darwin's rules. Evolution becomes "survival of the fittest".

That would be a kickass line from Triple H. Unless, he adds a syllable to the end of each and every word, and he drags it out into 47 minutes...

I.E. *After talking about everyone he has beaten for 30 minutes... "Evolution-ah has-ah done-ah pretty-ah damn-ah well-ah on-ah being-ah patient-ah and-ah waiting-ah for-ah our-ah time-ah. Now-ah, we-ah must-ah play-ah by-ah Darwin's-ah rules-ah. Evolution-ah must-ah become-ah survival-ah of-ah the-ah fittest-ah!

Charlie Haas could do it. I don't think his current status on Velocity is preventing it form happeneing.

Maven wasn't my first choice, but if you are after someone, he could do it. He's been weraing a suit most of the time anyway.

Rhyno could easily be Triple H's hitman. Gore, Gore Gore, he's over again.

Sure, Triple H and Ric Flair are stale right now, but that's the whole point of putting them in a stable. Even if they just form a loose alliance with Rhyno who Gores people through walls and doors for them then it serves a purpose.

If the WWE's splitting up Evolution, it's because it's dragged on WAY too long. They're almost always behind the ball. The angle was tired almost a year ago.
