X-Box Torrents

WTF?

How are these used? Emulators or is there a way to burn them then use them on an X-Box?

(Question applies to all console-related torrents)

Not that I am interested in partaking in any illegal activities.

They are ISO images of the Xbox DVD. Burn them onto DVD and you can run them on your xbox if you have it chipped. I'm not sure if the copied DVDs will run on an unchipped xbox, and I think you might have to use -RW DVDs or something.

if you load them onto your xbox hard drive through a network cable or something i think you can play them on an unchipped xbox

You put a chip into the xbox to override the BIOS (the basic system that is before the operating system, like when your PC has the detecting discs etc screen at the start) From there you can load a new Operating System onto it.
