So The Rock is confirmed for WM XX, who should he face?
Any ideas? Maybe he could come back and tag with Austin to face Triple H and Orton... or maybe he could go one on one with Triple H, that wouldn't be too bad. OR we could get the match we never saw Triple H v.s The Rock v.s Steve Austin, that would be my choice, it doesn't get any bigger then that.

I'd like to see the Rock & Sock Connection hook it up one more time, maybe against Flair & HHH. Regardless of who they face, Rock & Foley should tag together.

Yeah I think Rock needs to go back to Smackdown and fued with someone there, likely Cena.
The way I see it the WWE is stacking RAW, and leaving Smackdown out in the cold. Now, I understand that with both Foley and Rock making suprise returns they had to be on RAW in order to keep the element of suprise. However, in the long run I think Rock should go to SD. Smackdown has lost Kurt due to injury and Taker with the whole Deadman angle. In the meantime RAW has Foley, HHH, Goldberg, Austin (in the next couple of weeks or so) Flair and Kane. If you add Rock to that list, it becomes very unbalanced. And at this point they need to get eyeballs on both shows, not just RAW. Now, they could always keep Rock on RAW and then have Cena challenge him to an brand vs brand match, but I think it would be more effective to stick Rock over on SD and have him put over someone from that crew (ie Cena). As for some of the propsed ideas, Rock-HHH isn't bad for nostalgia, but I think they are going back to the idea of HHH vs Orton (which is a better idea provided its done right). Rock n Sock as a team is a cool idea, but then who do they face? I dont think there's a team out there that would make a good enough match (Jericho/Christian is the only thing I can come up with). Austin/Rock/HHH in a 3 way doesn't really appeal to me, I just dont see the point of that match. Plus I dont think Austin is going to do a serious match at Mania anyway. |

Oh man a Rock vs Cena feud would be golden. I would just want to see them go back and forth throwing insults at each other. I really hope they have a match at Mania.

I just imagined to myself a promo where The Rock was in the ring dressed up and acting like Cena, while Cena was up on the stage dressed and acting like The Rock.
That would just be incredible. |

Hence maybe a one time deal at WM XX. Have Cena one up Rocky, and punk out Rocky maybe a week or two before, then sign the match or something. Have Rock do the job to Cena, thus pushing Cena to a main-eventer, and making Cena the next "Rocky."

I was thinking a match against Jericho. Rock could pass the torch of "People's Champion" so to speak. Jericho would need to be over as a huge face though. Another idea I had was a Rock vs. Foley vs. Triple H vs. Austin Fatal Fourway.

I would go Rock vs Cena if Rock goes to SD. But if he stays on Raw I would put the Rock against
Randy Orton and have Rock put Orton over at WMXX. Imagine it. The Rock is possibly the absolute best ever (as he puts it himself, Flair is still mine), but if the Rock was to put over Orton, that legend killer status would go through the roof. Plus, we would not see the Rock for a few months. He could go out as "injured". |

Now I do think Rock should go to Smackdown and feud with Cena though, I don't think he should have ever gone to raw, and while I'm not much of a fan of face Rock, there's no denying his drawing power and I think he and Cena would have some great chemistry; and he wouldn't be around for long enough to get really stale anyway - and heel Rock is fantastic. Would a Cena Rock match be face vs face? I'd love to see a heel Rock but I don't think that there's enough time or potential to turn him - after his recent heel stint the fans have seen how entertaining he can be and will go back to cheering for his old stale crap unfortunately. |

Third Generation Superstar, both started out as pussies and later developed cocky characters, and if you listen to Evolutions music and compare it to The Rocks they are very similar beat wise. And much like we knew The Rock was destined for Greatness, we know Randy Orton is destined for Greatness as well. I don't think they should have Orton actually defeat The Rock, but have it a damn good, back and forth classic match. |

im thinking the rock/orton is a great idea for raw...if smackdown though, cena/rock would be amazing. cena lost to benoit and there were fears of him losing a push or credibility or whatever...if rock did the job for cena it would rebuild all of that and could lead to a cena/benoit title match if either gets the title anytime soon....
p.s. did this post make any sense? |

The Rock versus Mick Foley, basically the way it sets up is Foley wants to end his career on a better note then how he did losing at Wrestlemania XVI, so he wants to pick an opponent, Mick, picks his good friend the Rock so they can go at it one more time.

If the Rock were to wrestle at Wrestlemania XX, which is pretty much a lock, he should definetly face John Cena. Rock could move back to Smackdown, turn heel once again, and start a feud with Cena in mud February, leading to Mania. Cena would have to go over cause Rock is going to go back and do movies after XX.

Well, technically, his career was ended at No Way Out, but he showed up for one last match in the main event of Wrestlemania 2000, to promptly job to HHH again.
Anyways, who the hell would the Rock face at Wrestlemania? They've already done Rock/Austin 3 times, they've already done Rock/Hogan, and none of the other names would really draw that much. Orton is most likely doing the program with HHH, and Cena's over on SD, so it's not very likely that they'd feud. The only one I can really think of is Chris Jericho, which I could live with. Sure, Jericho would have no chance in hell of going over, but another Rock/Jericho feud would be a helluva fun ride to build up to the match. |

So the Rock IS confirmed for Wrestlemania? I hope he actually stays with the WWE until then, because if he just pops in and out of TV that's not really fair for the people who do work night in and night out and bust their ass but lose their spot to a guy who can just walk onto the biggest show of the year for free.
That said, I'd love a Cena/Rock feud, as I think both are very similar. I've been comparing Cena to The Rock recently, with the catch-moves and promo skills and such, and Rocky would definitely put Cena over. Of course, having the Rock face Orton could help him too, since he'd be killing another "legend." But I want Rock vs Cena. |

Rock Vs. Cena would be gold yes. I would mark out majorly.
But WWE may not be inclined to move Rocky to SmackDown! again, in the probability of making the split look senseless. So we could see Cena on RAW. Also another option, that would be very probably knowing WWE is to see Rock Vs. Orton. Although Orton Vs. Foley is talked about, it would be nowhere near the match Rock Vs. Orton would be. |

Rock has always been pushed as being able to appear on both shows.
Rock has said he'll be back for January and then off February and then back for March. I think Cena is a better choice than Orton because Orton has HHH as a lined up fued, whereas Cena doesn't have as big of a name opponent over on Smackdown. If HHH-Orton goes down, that would leave Rock open to put over Cena. That way you create two stars in one night, instead of just one. |

The Rock vs. John Cena would be friggin awesome. Just a few concerns.
1)Who turns heel? Cena or The Rock? (or would it be face vs. face). If The Rock is going to wrestle, I DO NOT want to see him in a ****ing tag match at Mania. Sorry folks. I also wouldn't mind seeing The Rock and Triple H going at it one on one at Mania. The Rock getting a rematch with Brock Lesnar.......wouldn't mind seeing that either I guess. |

Rock-HHH has the problem that its just a nostalgia match, and nobody benefits from the result. With Cena-rock, honestly I would just keep them both face. I think Rock would eventually get boos from the crowd just because Cena is the up and coming guy and he's a full time guy. The way I see it, you just let the two of them cut promos on each other and let the fans do what they will. Maybe at the end you do a respect deal after the match so neither guy is precieved as a heel. |

Also, keep in mind that not al of MSG will be filled with New Yorkers, there will be people from a whole bunch of different states and countries. Plus, Rock is the recognized star, so its possible the fans would turn on Cena. Like I said, I think the fans would end up with Cena, but I could see it going either way. |

Form the Observer this past week:
Apparently HHH vs Orton (with a planned Orton turn at Rumble against HHH) is off at this point. Goldberg-Brock, Kane-Taker, and Rock/Foley vs Orton and possibly Batista is being listed as currently on the table. Batista wasn't a lock for that match, could also be Flair I guess, but the point was that Orton/HHH has been put off for now, and it looks like they want Rock and Foley as a team for the show. Personally I dont think thats the best idea, it'll be entrtaining and all, but likely the faces would go over and nobody would really be elevated. |
