WM-X8 Hogan/Rock

I've always wondered if the end of the Hogan/Rock match was ad-libbed. I'm talking about the hand shake and then the nWo jumping Hulk. I'm sure they didn't expect the reaction that Hogan got and I guess it could have been decided to do it all in the middle of the match.

Does anyone know the story?

I wish it was ad-libbed but it wasn't.

Hogan said earlier that night that he had to beat Rock on his own. So he coulnd't do it and shook Rock's hand out of respect. That was going to happen no matter what reaction Hogan was going to get from the crowd.

No. They knew they were going to have to do it before WM even started. Fans were going nuts for Hogan the day before at the fan axcess. I was there and still wouldn't change a damn thing. It was amazing.

In Hogan's book he says they almost went with the red and yellow. Kinda glad they didn't. Wouldn't have made much sense from a storyline standpoint.

nelioneil does not have that much rep yet (10+)
Remember JR's comment in the match

JR: "Half the fans chanting for Hogan, "Half" the fans chanting for the Rock"

The fans were crazy for Hogan, never seen so many people go crazy for one wrestler ( I haven't seen Wrestlemania 3 with its large stadium so I don't know what kind of reaction Hogan got.)

I was there too and Hogan got huge amounts of chants, but rocky got some too..."ROCKY SUCKS"

The Rock hates Toronto and I'm/we're proud of it.

At the start of the match it was 1/2 for Hogan and 1/2 for Rock.

But 5-10 mintues into it the crowd was way in favor of Hogan.

Then when Rock did the Peoples Elbow everyone cheered for the Rock.

Great Match
