Mania 19.

So you don't count Lesner vs. Angle as the main event of Maina 19?

Hogan vs.Savage was just magic.

At the time they were BOTH my favorite wrestlers. When the last time you seen both of your favorite wrestlers in the biggest main event.

The storyline was great, they started out as a team. Elizabeth became Hogan manager. Elizabeth gets injured, Hogan rush to her side. Of all sudden, Savage attack him. Savage play the jealous role well. This was a simple and well built fued. The match itself was great as well and still holds up today. You can arguably say this is the best built Mania match/fued in history.

This is really hard for me since I have not seen any of the earlier WrestleMania's. However, from what I have seen I would have to say my personal favorite is WrestleMania XX's triple threat match for the world heavyweight championship. I did 3 things in one match that I have not done in years.

A) I marked out around people who were not wrestling fans.
B) I was entertained from both a dramatic and wrestling perspective.
C) I watched that match several times and it never got old.

I would of gone with Rock Vs Hogan from X-7 just for the fact that I was there for it and it was great for Austin to join with McMahon to turn heel.

but

I went with HBK Vs Hitman..iron man match.. because it was such a great match and even though Hitman lost it its still one of the best matches ever. It way one of the first matches that ever made me jump when someone was getting a pinfall in hopes it would make them kick out.

I voted for Hogan and Savage but I can understand why someone voted for Sid/Taker. At the time, Sid was probably the most dominant guy in the WWE. He won the title twice from both Bret Hart and HBK for the title in 4 months. Undertaker was still popular and the deadman but has never won the title since 91. It was like Taker winning the title for the first time even though it was his second title win(similar to Benoit situation). The match itself was ok, but some people like big guys wrestling each other. Plus, it was the most emotional match if you are a huge Undertaker fan.

I'm gonna go with Bret v Yoko at WM 10 just b/c of the emotion of the event. I was(and still am) a Bret Hart mark and just to see Bret overcome losing to Owen in the opener and then coming back against all odds to beat Yoko( even though the big guy did just fall off the ropes) was amazing, and then to see all the faces come out to celebrate w/ Bret. I cannot describe the emotion of that PPV. If you get a chance go back and watch it.

I went for Rock-Austin at mania 17 that match had everything.

I showed it to some guys who wern't familar with wrestling and they loved it- enough said.

Still I feel abit sad watching it because although 2001 was a good year for wwe it could have been 100 times better if the invasion angle was done the right way.
