I have been out of Wrestling for quite a bit... Can someone give me a rundown on the storylines behind these matches for Wrestlemainia?

HHH vs Batista: Batista wins royal rumble, catches HHH admitting that he was tryin to get batista to smackdown, batista gives thumbs down, hes pissed at hhh, signs raw contract, so theres that match.

Cena JBL: Cena wins #1 Contender Match against Angle at No Way Out.
6-man Ladder match: Writers didnt know what to do, so they just threw thsi together. Should be good though.

Big Show vs Akebono: Akebono and Show had a staredown when smackdown was in Japan, so writers figured it would be awesome to have Show vs Akebono in a sumo match, while other stars sit on their ass and watch wrestlemania from backstage.

Randy Orton vs Taker: Orton wants to make an impact, he wants to do something no one has ever done, he wants to beat taker at wm21. Also to further establish the whole Legend Killer gimmick. Taker gets mad after a slap and throws lightning bolts at him.

Christy vs Trish: Trish is jealous of all the publicity Christy is gettin with playboy, so she beats her ass all the time, christy challenges her to a match at wm21, christy is bein trained by LITA by the way.

Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle: Angle assaulted Michaels after HBK threw him out of the royal rumble, Michaels challenges angle to a match at wm21, Angle shows up on raw, beats the shit out of hbk, accepts match, shawn goes to smackdown, brawls with angle. Match at wm.

Sorry i cant remember any other matches right now, im tired.

The Akebono match is purely for Japanese publicity. They got a lot of publicity just having them stare each other down in the ring. So yeah, they just wanna get some japanese buys and hopefully get new fans by having them watch the entire ppv.

Adding to that is:

Money In The Bank Ladder Match- Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Christian, Shelton Benjamin, Edge, and Kane in a 6-Man Ladder match for a World Heavyweight Title shot sometime in the future. It just came about when Jericho proposed the idea of a 6-Man Ladder Match to the Raw audience, Bischoff approved and named the participants.
