Lately my Laptop has been shutting off a lot.
Like I would only be on for a few minutes, then it'll shut off. Sometimes it does after 20 minutes or so, sometimes it only takes a few. Today though it has not given me any problems, but what could have been the problem before?

Have you been using it when it shuts off? Or are you away from it then come back to see it off?

I've always been on it. But I thought maybe defragmenting and checking for viruses would help, but like 5 or 10 minutes in, it would cut off.


So I have yet to be able to run a full scan.

Also, the times when it did shut down, the fan has been on high the whole time. Like, normally I would turn on the computer, and the fan would be silent, but now it's constantly blowing on high.
