Anyone know how to remove a patch?

I hope this was the right place to post this......

this is my problem

Back in the day I got the game CSI: Dark Motives. Well one day the comp was running a bit slow so I deleted the game. That didnt help. So we went and restored the system. Well the time that we restored the system to had the CSI Game on it. Atleast I thought it was the game. So I went out and downloaded a patch for it to fix the games problems so I could play it again. Well I downloaded the patch and went to play the game and it wouldnt work. It turns out that when we restored the comp it just put the file on the comp but now the game and so on and so forth.

I tried to uninstall the game but it says I need to Uninstall the Patch first. I dont know how to do that and was hoping that someone here could help me.

And I cant reinstall the game untill I delete the other version of it.

Please help me if anyone knows how to remove a patch,

Thanks

*shrug* Search for the patch file name. In the registry too.
