AYELEALLLEANALEANLAYNLEYLEAAA (Davari interview on Tag match)
“I’ve been wrestling for five years,” revealed Daivari following his victory, “and when I came to WWE, I never said I couldn’t wrestle. Since Day One, Muhammad and I have had a strategy, and that was to let all the Americans know how we feel about their treatment of Arab-Americans, and to rectify all the wrongs that they are doing to our people. My being in the ring didn’t help our cause, but my being a mouthpiece, and speaking to our Arab-American brothers in Farsi did. So now that we’re starting to get a wave of momentum going, it only seemed fitting for me to climb into the ring.”
Much like Hassan, Daivari was upset about not being a part of WrestleMania 21, and he feels that this win only further proves that the duo deserved to be a part of the April 3 pay-per-view spectacular – a show they wound up being a part of anyway, despite not being scheduled to appear. "This win is huge,” shouted Daivari. “I mean, my career with WWE just started, and HBK is considered one of the greatest of all-time, so if you defeat him, it has to put you up on a pretty high pedestal. If you were to look at who on the roster has a victory over Shawn Michaels, it would be a really, really small list – a handful of guys – and now I’m on that list.” Following his stunning debut victory, Daivari will have another opportunity to show the world just how good he can be. According to Eric Bischoff, Hassan & Daivari will meet Shawn Michaels and a partner of Michaels' choosing at Backlash on May 1. If Shawn Michaels has it his way, his partner will be none other than 2005 Hall of Fame inductee Hulk Hogan. “I don’t think HBK’s offer is a big deal at all,” continued Daivari. “I have a victory over HBK, and Muhammad has never even been pinned on RAW. Besides, I don’t think they would even be much of a tag-team, anyway. I mean they’ve never teamed before, whereas Muhammad and I travel together, eat together, train together and know each other like clockwork. Hogan and HBK are just two guys from two different eras who are coming together because of an equal belief, but that belief is not going to be enough for them to overcome us.” “If you ask me, I don’t think Hogan’s even going to accept Michaels offer,” added Hassan. Like Michaels, Hogan has had a problem with Hassan & Daivari’s strong viewpoints, and an even bigger problem with their actions. At WrestleMania 21, the “Immortal One” rushed to the ring to save Eugene from Hassan’s Camel Clutch. After rescuing Eugene, Hogan issued a pair of Big Boots to the Arab-American Superstars and tossed each of them out of the ring. If the Hulkster should accept HBK’s offer to tag up at Backlash, it would mark the first time the two icons ever teamed up together, but if Hassan & Daivari have it their way, it will also be the last. “Michaels and Hogan can expect something like what Shawn saw tonight,” said Daivari. “My streak may only be 1-0, but no one has pinned either one of us on RAW or made us submit. So, we’d have no problem beating HBK – a guy who’s coming off a series of losses – and Hulk Hogan – a guy who hasn’t even wrestled in two years. So if you ask me, we’ve got a lot more going for us.” “If, and I do mean if, Hogan does accept Shawn’s offer,” added Hassan with a smirk. “I think you’re going to see two young, well-trained athletes in the prime of their lives wipe the floor with two washed-up veterans. In the end, youth will always beat experience.” wwe.com ------------- I think it'd be BS if HBK and Hogan won. Both are on the way out the door and this is Hulks final wave so yeah the 2 oldies will probably go over. |

I think it's really great they are using Daivari as a wrestler, cause the man can work. He should of been portrayed as a legitimate wrestler from the beginning and not as some guy who jumps on people's backs and tries to choke them,
It's just too bad they will lose the tag match cause a win would be HUGE here. If this leads to Hassan going over HBK on a later PPV, then it wouldn't be that bad. |

You know, if that Cruiserweight Title was on Raw, just imagine what Daivari can do for that division. Great worker, unbelievable talker, and he's in a good angle. Hassan as IC Champ and Daivari as the Cruiser would be jackpot.

Yeah I think Davari would be better seperated. How ever he may pull an Akio so he'd have to still play the gimmick strong.

Davari looks pretty good in the ring, but he kind of looks small. He seems like a cruiserweight. I'm not judging him because hes small...I mean I don't say that cheeseburgers are bad before I eat them, it was just a statement. That leg drop from the second rope he did was awesome.

He's an excellent wrestler, he's got HUGE mic skills and he can work without Muhammad easily. Basically, that means he hasn't got a chance. He would get fired after 10 months on velocity ![]() |

What about merging Hassan and Daivari with La Resistance to form some type of anti America angle then having Eugene, Regal, HBK, and Hogan go against them in an 8 man tag?

I'd rather see Sonjay Dutt in the WWE as a descendent of the Shiek. He'd wear the towel like Hassan, but he'd be a face, throw fireballs, etc.
That way WWE could not be sterotypical for once and show people of Arab descent can be good also. |

So, Shawn Michaels had a successful tag match with his long-time friend and partner Marty Jannetty - but when he's going into another tag match, he asks Hogan to team with him?

I think it would be a mistake to let Hassan and Davairi win. Most fans want to see Hogan win his "last match". And Hassan and davairi wouldn't lose anything at all as long as they didn't get squashed.
