Rate the Wrestler - Day 186 - "Rugged" Ron Garvin
Hey hey, welcome to this weekend edition of RTW.

Yesterday, Ray Rougeau scored an underwhelming 80. I understand why (short career) and I'm sure if shit hadn't gone down the wrong way, we'd hold him on as high a regard as we hold Jacques.

Anyway, today, we have a former NWA champion (what an awful decision, eh?) A man, who I mostly remember as carrying around a 2x4 as part of "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan's Survivor Series team one year, as well as having that shitty Whole Body Stomp finisher, ladies and gents, "RUGGED" RON GARVIN!

One of two memories I have of Garvin is when he was a guest Ring announcer for Hercules vs ... I think Greg Valentine. Anyway, Herc lost the match but Garvin kept announcing Herc as the winner. The ref went and talked to Garvin and he said, "Oh ok, ok, ladies and gentlemen, it seems I've made a mistake, your winner... THE MIGHTY HERCULES!!! Yeah..... good times.

He was kind of like Chris Benoit without the talent.
