That is actually a real background (i.e. a guy took a picture of a street) then used 3ds max to put the hl2 model in it, and rendered it like crazy to make it look real.

Whoops my bad. Aparently the site I linked to is just propoganda trying to cover up the existence of HL3. I smell the involvment of a G-Man or possibly even G-Men!!! Run for the hills, the truth is out there, and keep watching the skies.
