Hair...
Many people have noticed that wrestlers more and more are having shorter hair...especially blonde Canadians for some reason...but here is my question...

Since about 1998 has there been ANYBODY who used to have short hair that now has long hair? I mean anybody. From Jobbers to Main Eventers, I can't think of one. Can any of you think of one? Ric Flair is about as close as I can think...but his hair has always been...well...it never seemed to have a length.

while he was wrestling Mick Foley had long hair, then he had it cut really short when he came back as commish. Now hes got the long hair again.

I was actually going to create a thread on hair myself (strange-o), but basically saying how a haircut appears to sometimes be the final piece of the puzzle regarding moving to the mainevent.

Would the Rock have been as successful with his Rocky Maivia hair?

Stone Cold with his Ring Master or Hollywood Blond hair?

Jeff Jarrett (although his big push happened later in WCW)?

This actually makes me excited for Christian as he looks like he has the "it" factor now. With his long hair of the E&C days I would never have thought of him attaining a belt higher than IC.

Coincidence or does having a good doo make a big difference?

Having a good doo that goes along with your gimmick makes a HUGE difference. Most fans are into cheering for the guy that "looks" the coolest/baddest/strongest/etc. Having the "Look" is about half of this business.

Regarding Val, injuries aside, I think the WWE's biggest mistake with him was taking the mic out of his hands. The man had a gift to gab. HELLO LADIES.... was classic.

Oh yeah, he is pretty damn impressive in the ring as well.

He was great on the mic, and really seemed to enjoy himself. He's no JBL, but he gets the job done. In terms of the ring, he's solid, but nothing special. However, he definitely should have the mic...

However, the pornstar gimmick is from the cartoony days of wrestling. With a more "real" and serious look to the WWE, it's not gonna be the same. People like the Undertaker get away with it because it's what made them hugely over...Venis was never main event material.

However...There is hope...He can feud with Big Vis, over who the bigger...Errr...Superior ladies' man is.
