Smackdown Spoilers - 31st May

From http://nodq.com/results/119604176.shtml

Quote:
The upper deck on the non-TV side was tarped off, my guess for the attendence would be about 10,000

Dark Match:

George King beat Harry "Bulldog" Smith via roll-up. Good match, and a nice pop for Harry

Velocity:

The Bashams beat JD Michaels and Teddy Hart- ok match, Teddy seemed to hurt his knee around the end of the match. and the Bashams win with a baldo bomb on JD

Paul London defended his CW Title against Akio and Chavo Guerrero- Easily the Match of the Night, London wins with a stiff superkick on Chavo

Orlando Jordan beat Shannon Moore.

Smackdown:

Carlito's Cabana with John Cena, Carlio talks about how he beat Cena in his first match, and can do it again. Cena verbaly attacks Matt Morgan, and sets up Big Show/John Cena Vs Carlito/Morgan

Booker T promo in the back, Long changes Angle/Sharmel to Booker/Sharmel Vs Angle

15 Minute Iron Man Match
MNM defends the tag team titles against Hardcore Holly and Charlie Hass
MNM win 2-1, in a very solid match. Hardcore/Hass recived a standing ovation after the match.

Angle invites Tazz to join him on Team Smackdown for ECW One Night Stand

Kurt Angle beats Sharmel and Booker T, when Angle pinned Sharmel
Good match. Angle and Booker meshed well tonight, and Angle was extremly funny when he gets his hands on Sharmel.

Heidenreich beat Kid Nichlos (sp) in about 30 seconds

Mark Jindrak hits on the WWE diva's. Then tells them that he wishes the RAW diva's were here because they "put out"

JBL Comes out and shoots on ECW for about 5 minutes, and then beats Nunizo in a ECW rules match in about 30 seconds.

Big Show/John Cena beat Carlito/Matt Morgan, when John Cena pinned Carlito via F-U. Wasn't a amazing wrestling match, but the fans were entertained.

Dark Main Event:
John Cena beat JBL and Orlando Jordan when Cena pinned JBL in about 7 minutes. Nothing to write about here.

Overall it was a good show, and hopefully it translates into a good Smackdown on TV.

Biggest Cheers:
1) John Cena
2) Hardcore Holly
3) Heidenreich/Booker T

Biggest Heat:
1) JBL
2) Carlito
3) Kurt Angle

Whoa. Teddy Hart's on Velocity?

And the 15 minute ironman tag match should be pretty good. I've heard MNM and Holly/Haas actually mesh quite weil in the ring.

I might tune in for the MNM match and then try to catch Velocity for the Teddy Hart match. Thats pretty much it.

Sounds bland to me

Meh, to be honest, if there was no date on this SD spoiler report, it would be easy to think it was last weeks show. Nevertheless, as always i will tune in because some superstars, no matter how they are booked are still damn entertaining. A JBL promo is always funny; i'm still into MNM for some reason, not too sure why, i guess i just like the fact that they at least look like a ligit tag team; and Carlito is always entertaining. But were Eddie and Rey not booked on the show? If so that seems kind lame, there could of at least been a promo "live via satellite".

And yes i do realize that Rey was injured recently, but there still could have been some altercation between the two.

WOW...this week I plan on watching BOTH Velocity and Heat...I can't think of the last time I was interested in doing that.

I am looking forward to the MNM/Hasscore match. I don't like any one of the four of them, yet I seem to be entertained slightly when I watch them, which is more then I can say about most of the wrestling shows lately.

So they squash Nunzio in 30 seconds and then expect us to pay to see him compete on a PPV?

I read other spoilers that were the same results, but said there was a backstage incident where Long was blamed by Booker T to what happened to Sharmell. Long said Booker and Angle will fight next week, if Booker is not drafted to Raw.

You know what that means....

KURT ANGLE IS HEADED TO RAW, FUCKERS.

Well, maybe he can replace the Masterlock Challenge.

Either that or destroy Chris Masters in a sudden face turn. Then he combines his pervert gimmick with his face turn and teams with Viscera to form a new duo called the Big Gold-Medal Pimps.

If angle is drafted to RAW it'd be cool to see him and masters compete in each other's challenges, ie masters could try and win the angle invitational and angle could try to win the masterlock challenge, and then in the weeks to come, build up to a feud that comes to a head at Vengeance, and make Angle vs. Masters in a "Winner Take All" match where if Angle wins, lets say, he would get to keep Masters' money AND HIS olympic gold medals. And vice versa if Masters won (he would keep his money AND Kurt's medals.) I would probably book it so that Angle eventually wins, and give him a main event push against HHH. HHH vs. Angle, especially in a feud...NOW THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT folks, especially if it's a babyface Angle.

Heel Angle has always been the best Angle.

And I personally believe that draftying him to RAW would be a bad decision. Smackdown needs him.

Did anyone catch the Michael Cole chant that was going after Cena made that comment about him "oiling himself up" (or something like that)? I was marking out a bit at that, Cole actually got some face pops (assuming it wasn't piped). Interesting.

Actually, they were chanting Michael Cole at Matt Morgan as an insult

hmm... odd I liked the Baldcore/hass vs MNM match, kind of aggravating that MNM is very limited in the ring in wwe when knowing damn good and well that they are capable of soo much more. Then again it is probably just wwe toneing them down so they dont get face pops if/when Nitro hits the crazy shooting star leg drop (yeah I dont know the name ) What are your opinions ?

The "Michael Cole" chants had me laughing too. Insult or not, it was hilarious.
