In the main event Benoit hits Y2J with a top rope back suplex and then Austin covers Benoit who is clutching his neck, clearly in pain. Was it the original plan that this was how the match would end or could Benoit just not go on. This was his last match before his neck surgery and he had been in pain for months before this. Always wondered about the end of that match.

I think the ending was called, since it was obvious Benoit was in pain.

It would have looked better if he'd covered Jericho.

That was when he ruptured a disc....which fragmented into his...spinal column.
