Wow what an upset Carlos Maussa just knocked out Vivian Harris(who is right up their in the rankings with Hatton,Mayweather and Cotto) to become WBA jr. welterweight champion. Their was some controversy as Maussa hit Harris as he was down but either way Harris fought a stupid fight trying to connect on to many power punches early and wearing himself out. Big up to Maussa he has a solid chin and took some big shots....

Maybe another upset is coming

Mayweather dominated Gatti landing 168 punches to 41 for Gatti(115 to 10 power shots). TKO in the 6th A complete thrashing.... and I was very impressed with Mayweather.

I fell asleep for the Mayweather fight but saw the Maussa/Harris fight. I don't watch much boxing but Harris was pretty crap, the Colombian was a bit mad like.

I was surprised Gatti lost in that manner but I really expected him to lose. I still don't think Mayweather has the punch power to KO guys at light welterweight unless they "do a Gatti" and don't bother showing up with a defence. Gatti lost the fight before he even stepped in the ring. You don't beat 8 world champions without having talent but Arturo Gatti is the most overhyped and overrated fighter I have seen in the last 10 years. He is a glorified journeyman.

Mayweather looked the nuts. All the credit in the world to him. But he could never do that to Ricky Hatton or Kosta Tzysu.

As for Vivian Harris, he should have took the £750,000 to fight Hatton and lost instead of ducking him and then losing to a jobber for peanuts. Life's a bitch though.
