? About External Item(s)
KayfabeMan back again with a somewhat stupid question - so please overlook my complete and total computer related ignorance. Anyhow....
I am wondering if there are CD and/or DVD burners that are external, and can be connected with like a USB or something? If so, is there one that can be used for both music CD's and like digital photos to a photo CD?? I'm most interested in being able to download music and burn it onto a cd, and also being able to put my digital pics on a photo cd. Any help would be awesome. - KayfabeMan |

Yes, there are external drives.
However, to obtain maximum performance your computer needs to have USB 2.0 drives. IMO, I don't really trust USB drives because they don't seem to be as fast, but whatever works for you |

I use external drives all the time, and I haven't seen too much of a performance issue with them. Of course most of them are firewire and not USB, but even the USB one's still work good. Its just like when you're buying anything else, ask around and READ THE USER REVIEWS.
