Major News: Jim Cornette Slaps OVW Student Last Night

"Jim Cornette is in hot water again with WWE after another outburst at last night's OVW tv tapings.

Cornette reportedly flew into a rage at an OVW student and slapped him multiple times backstage. The student, described as a beginner, had been sitting in the crowd and Cornette was angered that he hadn't been selling the show enough and didn't react to a heel who was making his way back to the dressing room.

The student is not part of the WWE developmental program.

Cornette recently returned to OVW after serving a suspension for a previous outburst."

Every time I read about Jim Cornette taking it to the young'uns, I laugh. This is exactly the kind of tough love these guys need. Get rid of their egos before they move up, and they'll be all the better for it.

Don't students need to learn how to take slaps anyway, for their inevitable feuds with women who will slap them for being jerks? I mean, it's not like the writers know what to do with wrestlers, so feuds with divas are inevitable, especially since the company's hired 48 of them now....
